We stayed at the Chat House for 3 night while in Chiang Rai. It was a very peaceful stay, with standard but very clean rooms and hot showers. But the best part was the staff: Fito, the manager, made us feel like home, was very nice, approachable, and funny. He constantly had a smile on his face. Et led us...

Cheap! Great for budget travel. Staff is very friendly. They helped us get a 3am driver to Phu Chi Fa the night before we wanted to do it. Very accommodating. Didn't care that we squeezed 2 to a bed to save even more money. Hostel food is also good. Hot showers. Towels provided. Free wifi. Great central location. BONUS: Kittens...

Did not go out of our way to find such budget accommodation but found the Chat was excellent value and run by extremely helpful and friendly people. The breakfast ( don't think it was included ) was very good. Place is fairly dated but clean. Wifi was excellent.

Hot showers, clean rooms, great food, wifi. Just 150 for a single bed private room. The staff is very helpful and will set you up with any tours or rentals you want to make. You won't be disappointed spending your time in Chiang Rai here.

250b for a double bedroom with private bathroom, friendly staff full of advices, quiet common place in a garden where you can relax and have a good wifi connexion! Food is not the best ever but anyway that's really a nice place to stay at! 10min walk from the city center, close to morning market!

A friend suggested this place before I arrived and I ended up staying for four days. Paid 200 baht a night for my own room and bathroom. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, decent food, and good music playing all the time in the communal area. Easy to set up any treks or tours, although I suggest doing research and creating...

I was sceptical when the til til driver brought me here. But what a lovely surprise! You can feel the friendliness and sincerity of the owner right away. Lush garden, clean friendly cats, great location next to temple and close to market. 50B tuk ride from bus station. My room was $300B for my own quiet room and bath ......

This is such a great little place. We stayed here in May 2014 for 9 nights and it was lovely. The staff are fantastic and it's a nice little retreat away from all the chaos. It is still close enough to everything and we met some great other travellers staying here. Would come back!

We spend 3 nights in Chat House, it was a very nice place, not so far from the center. It's a perfect place to meet people, cheap room for two (250 bath with fan and hot shower) and good food. The owner is very friendly and he give us a lot of good advices. They did our laundry for cheap...

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The owners are sweet, there are like 5 cats (hence Chat House) who roam the garden, the location is away from bars and close to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha so you can occasionally hear singing monks, and the shower is the hottest I've known in Thailand. My only reservation was...
