Stuck in the hills surrounding Chiang Rai (approx 1 hr driving from Chiang Rai old bus station downtown) this is a beautiful, essential, little complex of bamboo huts for the ones who'd like to experience nature and simplicity. Nok, the owner/manager, is a lovely, energetic lady experienced in tourism and hospitality and will help you settle down. Note that this...

Found this place in my Lonely Planet guidebook and was immediately intrigued. Emailed Nok and booked a double cottage for three nights. Such an incredible experience! Bamboo Nest is absolutely gorgeous, and Nok and Noi are so kind! If you are looking for a little R&R without electronics, definitely consider staying here. Make sure you take a trekking tour with...

Getting there is an experience in itself - remotely located in the mountains the owner Nok, who is a great host, picks you up in the city and takes you up there. The view is stunning, the bungalows are so nice and comfortable, the food is great. It is so quiet and relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay very much, very quiet and peaceful surroundings and tasty homemade food at their little restaurant. The bamboo huts are simple but quite spacious, with a great bamboo hammock on the porch to lounge in while reading / listening to music!

You need to be picked up to get there..not an easy road. But a stunning setting on a hillside overlooking valleys with rice terraces. Roos. Very simple..each with own verandah and gorgeous woven bamboo hammock. But be warned the restaurant is at the top and the paths to the room steep..so a little difficult at night. Not good if have...

He knows 'everything' - feel free to ask 😉 Bungalows - made of bamboo -are basic but very clean. Loved the view. Loved...

Definitely a highlight of our trip. Stay in a bamboo hut, with solar power, a balcony and hammock overlooking rice fields and mountains. There's many tours and walks available and DELICIOUS food for all meals at a good price. Would definitely stay here again. Also really enjoyed the adventurous trip in the 4WD from the bus station to the accommodation.
