Paradise and it’s Angels In January 2020 we had our first trip to Thailand. We first had 3 days in hectic Bangkok, which was quiet an experience. Our next stop was Chiang Rai with a stay at Pa Sak Tong. At Chiang Rai Airport we were welcomed by Khun Tai and the property driver. During the small comfortable drive we were informed by a number of things we saw along our road and things to do at Pa Sak Tong. Khun Tai was able to memorise our 4 names within 15 minutes and never made a mistake during our whole stay. At our arrival at Pa Sak Tong we were greeted by Khun Ni and Khun Pleaw with refreshing towels and a wonderful welcome drink. Meanwhile our host, Khun John, invited us in the sitting area of the Baan Sak Tong. A very nice welcoming and informal introduction where we learned about each other and about the possibilities of this property and its surroundings. After this we had a fresh up in our rooms, had a swim in the nice pool and a wonderful massage. We then mad us ready for a pre-dinner drinks, nice Gin Tonics. Our diner table was set up on the terrace, it had candles all over, just like in a fairy tale. Each dish was well explained and we could really go deep in the culinary questions as all our host could give the correct explanations. After a good night sleep we enjoyed the superb breakfast on the terrace with view to the rice fields and water buffaloes. Freshly cut fruit, traditional Thai rice breakfast, western egg dishes, nice bread and croissants, this all served by devoted, friendly and professional staff. We were taken around in the property by Khun John, which is extremely well kept! From there we had a guided walk with him to the surroundings. Later in the afternoon we had massage by Khun Mimi, the best massage we ever had! We had again pre-diner drinks and a wonderful diner, this in a very homely atmosphere with personal and professional service. No request or question was too much! The next day we had a wonderful hike with Kelvin, where we had a wonderful view on the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. We also visited a bamboo forest and had lunch with an astonishing view. Lunch was served by one of the lovely ladies who travelled the whole day with us. Before having our massages we had yoga time with Kuhn John, where I realised that I was not so flexible any more and that my belly was in the way! On our last day we had a extraordinary experience at Elephant Valley, such a nice place with lovely people doing their best for the elephants and the target of reintroduction into the wild. On our way back we visited the impressive White Temple. The last pre diner drinks were very nice as Kuhn Tai had typical Thai small bites / appetisers folded in green leaves. She explained to us what ingredients to put on the leave and how to do eat it. Again we had a wonderful diner made by Khun Nid and Khun Kwanjai (their chefs), and as dessert the wonderful carrot cake of Kuhn Mimi. The next day we left for Pau, which was about a 6 hours’ drive. We could not believe our eyes when we saw what a picnic was on board for us! Fruit, Sandwiches ect. Before leaving we had a picture together with all of them and they wave us good bye. They left us such an impression that we already knew that visiting them would be the highlight of our Thailand trip. That evening we realised that we had left paradise and it’s angels.

Communication with John the GM prior to booking and then arrival was exemplary, answering all questions. Upon arrival we were greeted by the welcoming hostesses with cold smoothies and towels after a short ride in the van from the airport. The villa itself is incredible, built from teak, finished to such a high standard that I haven’t seen before. 3 bedrooms, entertainment room and downstairs is the massage room, gym and kids play area. After a delicious lunch we sat down with the chef to plan the next days meals, a menu was available which was wide and varied but we were able to quite literally request anything from fillet steak to a selection of traditional northern Thai dishes. The kids loved the homemade pizzas and the pancakes at breakfast were also a big hit. The hostesses were fantastic with the kids (4 & 2) to allow my wife and I some time to relax and have a massage. The cocktail creations (a daily special) were thoroughly enjoyed by my wife and I also. Day trips executed to our needs and each stop/activity was done in our own time which was so refreshing as usually you are on a strict timetable and being rushed into the transport for the next stop. Finally the grounds of the estate are spectacular and you could easily spend hours walking around, stopping at different salas to take in the flora and fauna. Impeccable from start to finish, every single member of staff deserves great credit for a truly unforgettable stay. Thank you once again!

This small boutique hotel cannot be faulted! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. Everything that I want to say is in superlatives. From the decor to the staff to the food, all is wonderful. I haven't stayed anywhere else comparable and perhaps should be kept for the end of the trip rather than the beginning. What a start to our holiday.

For me it is difficult to describe how nice, pristine, beautiful this property is!!! Very often people doubt If the price of this accomodation is worthwhile. I can say: It is!! The staff will provide everything you can wish. Wether you want a drive to the golf-course or a massage. Just ask it. John, the manager proposed some activities which are all perfect and give you the feeling you really learn to know the region of Chang Rai. The food is perfect and personalised to your wishes! If you are a spoiled traveller do not hesitate!! You will not be disappointed. To bad we only stayed there for three nights. If we only could go back there..... (Sorry John, for the late feedback. When back home the business of life was there before I noticed it...Thank you and your staff for all good things)

This place is really beyond any expectation. We stayed in this beautiful estate for 3 nights. With our family of 5 we enjoyed every second of it! We were in heaven in the huge and beautiful decorated villa with gym and massage room, the excursions in the wonderful area of Chang Rai were also really special. And above all: the hartwarming staff and John were the reason we felt so much at home! They are incredibly lovely, kind and their service is outstanding. The chefs spoiled us a lot with their delicous meals. The massages the best ever. Everything was just perfect! We were so sad to leave and determined to come back. Thank you for this unforgettable experience dearest ladies and John!
