A great find in Chiang Rai. Very convenient to city centre. Pleasantly designed, well-maintained, good room size and bathroom works well. Very welcoming and efficient staff. Nice balcony with furniture. Decent breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. A little pricey for Thailand hotels of such quality under the present circumstances, but it is peak local tourist season, so understandable.
After reading the good comments about this hotel, I booked - and I was not disappointed. Even the restaurant was closed, they served a excellent breakfast on order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well equipped, all lighting electronic.
Had a horrible experience at Le Patta with the staff and would not recommend anyone coming here. We booked 2 rooms on Agoda the night before and on the day of, we received an email from Agoda to provide additional information to verify the second room. Not sure what we needed to provide, we called to the hotel to ask and the front desk staff assured us that we didn’t need to do anything and that they already have 2 reservations on file so the 2 rooms would be ready for us that night. To make sure, we asked the front desk staff 2 or 3 times on the phone and he kept telling us that we have 2 rooms for the night so don’t worry about it. We got there at 11PM extremely tired from a 3 hour bus ride from Chiang Mai and to our surprise, they said there is only 1 ROOM ready for us. We explained the situation to the front desk (about the guy that picked up the phone in the afternoon) and somehow, the 3 people at the front desk didn’t think that it was the hotel’s fault, didn’t apologize at all and offered no useful resolution (besides offering a “discounted” rate that was $100 more than what we would have paid). We thought the front desk was so unprofessional, unhelpful and provided such terrible service but didn’t have any other choice but to stay there since it was so late. I hope the manager would read this and improve the service of the hotel.…
This is a wonderful hotel, in the centre of Chiang Rai. The night market, with its entertainment, is only a few minutes walk away and so is the famous clock tower. But you don't hear any noise from either. Our room was more spacious than we expected and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our small balcony overlooking the courtyard garden and the pool. After a long day out, we decided to try the hotel restaurant and it was very good, with a great choice of food (and cocktails !). Breakfast was good too, with "Western" options. We would also mention the hotel and restaurant staff, all of whom were very friendly, courteous and efficient.
I genuinely think that you'd struggle to find a better located hotel in Chiang Rai, if you want to be a short five minute walk, or less, from the centre of things (night market / fruit market / clock tower / good restaurants) Our superior, ground floor room was everything you could hope for, overlooking a nice quiet pool. The staff were, as you'd expect, friendly and helpful. At just under £100 per night, it's not the cheapest place in town but it is, I believe, good value for the quality of accommodation and service that you receive. I would happily recommend.
