The hotel's owners are unpleasant, they just don't care about their "guests", the woman is quite rude and the man just ignores the customers. I live in Bangkok and this woman is the worst hotel's owner I've ever met in Thailand, she's very irritating. The rooms are very simple (no decoration), but they are large and clean. The bed is...

We booked here for 11 nights based on the reviews on tripadviser. We have a lot of mixed feelings for the place and the owners. The rooms were spacious and were clean. They were serviced every day and bedding and towels were changed every 3 days or so which was fine. I personally found the bed too hard and the...

We are avid Trip Adviser users, and we have had many amazing travel experiences throughout the world, based on research of contributors reviews. We have also lived and worked and travelled in many countries, from first to fifth world, so we are easy going and accepting of how things are, wherever and whatever, usually without criticism. This time however, for...

We stayed 4 nights in the Donkey's Rest. The owners were friendly. The pool is just next to the hotel, but it's public. In the late afternoon there are a lot of people, but they clean it every morning. The room was giant and clean. We had actually an apartment. The location is okey, there are a lot of very nice...

Very happy with the perfect distance for all aspects of the main town. It is in the right surrounding for a peaceful stay but also close enough for easy access to beaches and town. Rooms were always clean and spacious for what ever price bracket u choose. The bar area has a nice cooling breeze during the day and the...

We chose this hotel based on the fabulous reviews we had seen on Tripadvisor, but were disappointed with certain aspects of the hotel. On the positive side it is in a fairly good location in Hua Hin, close to a number of good restaurants in Soi 94 and with easy access to the centre of town. The room we had...

We stayed at the Donkey's Rest for 3 weeks Jan - Feb & all had a brilliant time. Having stayed in Hua Hin on 7 previous occasions (ranging from newly built condos to basic B & B's), this place has without doubt the best pool area & was one of the reasons we plumped for it. We were also very...

I stayed 10 weeks, this was my 4th yearly visit, I am a young at heart 66 year old woman and feel completely safe staying here. Big rooms, aircon and fridges in rooms, fresh clean sheets and laundry all done in-house. Big pool directly behind hotel. Great location just off Soi 94 which has all types of restuarants, 7-11 store,...

“The room on the top floor left hand side of the building (if you are facing the railway tracks and inside the room) is where I stayed and seemed to be the best of the ones I saw. It had the largest balcony and most windows. Beware if you are a light sleeper, a train passes every hour or so throughout the night within a few metres of the hotel. I was so tired I didn't hear it much!”
