Phanom Bencha Mountain Retreat We had a really nice 4 night stay here in November. There are several wooden bungalows ranging from 1 bedroom to family size scattered amongst beautiful gardens surrounded by spectacular limestone cliffs and dense jungle. We stayed in a 2 person bungalow for 1 night then opted for a larger 2 bedroom bungalow for the next...

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Phanom Bencha mountain resort for a few days. I have to say the people we met there who run the place are some of the most genuine and nice people I have ever met. They made sure everything was done for us including transport to and from the airport or anywhere we wanted to...

It was one of the nicest stay in Thailand. Family and friendly atmosphere. There is a local restaurant with a very tasty like homemade dishes. Great view from our terrace, nice lizards in the bungalow :)) Mr. Son (resort owner) and his family are very responsive and patient to their guests. They helped us with all our questions. We certainly...

If you have booked a chalet through a travel agent, then don't worry, someone will bring you there. But we went on motorcycle and got lost a few times. Not funny when it's raining at 8pm. But arriving there is a reward not even Hollywood stars receive! The chalet is simple and the bathroom is basic. No air conditioning, but...

We stayed at Phanom Bencha for 2 nights. We read the great reviews on TripAdvisor, decided to email the resort and received a fast response from Son (the owner). He arranged and personally picked us up from the ferry port and we were taken straight to the resort. Arriving at the hotel you get a real sense of 'off the...

We were so glad we chose to stay at PBMR and had the opportunity to meet the wonderful Son, Joop and family. Our hut at the foot of the hill was very basic as expected, clean and comfortable and we shared the shower room with several snails and geckos. The cultivated part of the garden is beautiful and testament to...

Krabi town is a good place for a quick stop over if you are travelling to the islands, unless you go here. it is a beautiful retreat off the beaten path. Barbra and Jules help run the place and they are amazing and wonderful people. We where in Asia for 3 months and I must say they made our trip...

I found this hotel via tripadvisor and after a couple of exchanges of e-mail we were all set. Mr Son arranged for our family of 5 to be picked up from Krabi airport at teatime and taken to the hillside resort. The place is beautiful, it's just like the photos and looks like a film set. The wooden hut we...

This is an amazing resort.. Highly recommend for wildlife and nature lovers. Not for party goers or anyone chasing nightlife. They have beautiful bungalows in the middle of the national park and it really gives you the feeling of how Thais live but with your own bungalow comfy bed and mosquito net with hot running shower. The food is the...

“If you don't want to climb too much, choose a bungalow closer to restaurant and reception. But if you need quiet and privacy - choose a bungalow closer to the swimming pool (which is up, in the hill).”
