Just had an amazing ten days stay here. Whilst the whole staff are amazing, there were three members who really stood out for us Bebe who worked at the beach grill was superb, always greeted us with a great smile and welcome or asking after us if we walked pastes the grill. Kwan our housekeeper/cleaner kept our room on top form, refilled toiletries, and found a 101 different animals and the like to make towel into and waiting on our bed woth an orchid. And Boom who worked in the Thai pantry was outstanding, helped guide us through the menu, introduced us to new foods, again and an amazing welcoming smile. The Merlin beach hotel is definitely five star, we would come back here if ever we are this way again. A wonderful experience.

Excellent experience at this super SPA.The therapists and technique is really awesome 😎. We came back here after 16 years because at that time he had the best massage in our life and now we wanted to see how it is. Unfortunately -for us 🙂-the spa was fully booked and we managed to get “only” 90 min “Heavenly signature” but we remembered why we came back here. Thank you so much Marriott Merlin Beach🙏.This experience was the BEST during our 2 months staying in SE Asia where we tried a lot of SPA

I stay at the beachfront room for 3 nights, with all inclusive package. The room is modern, clean and spacious. I 100-% recommend you to take the all inclusive package, there’s plenty of restaurants to choose from. My recommendation would be the Thai restaurant, huge portion and taste really authentic too. There have different dinner buffet every night which is fantastic, I went to the one with Muay thai and fire show. Also, their alcoholic drink deserve high praise, initially I thought with the all inclusive package, they might not serve strong cocktail, how wrong was I! Their massage is good, I would give it a skip on the cheap massage near the beach, I didn’t really enjoy that, prefer the one inside the resort (of coz huge price difference) Private beach - amazing to snorkel, a lot of dead coral and reef so tidal timing is very crucial. But overall it’s definitely beautiful and amazing to have private beach. You can still find a lot of fishes in the sea. Complimentary snorkel gear, kayak, paddle board is also provided. Swimming pool - 3 huge pools surrounding the resort, more than enough to accommodate everyone, though I spend most of the time at the beach. Bus shuttle to Patong - be sure to book early. Personally if ur main agenda is to be in Patong, I do not reckon this hotel, it’s near but it’s located at the hill area, tuk tuk driver isn’t very keen. Overall, 5 stars for the resort and will definitely return. Take the all inclusive package and just stay within the resort, definitely worthy!…

Beautiful, quiet bedrooms. The bathroom was fantastic with a powerful shower and plenty of toiletries. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever too much to ask and they were happy to help. Loved that you could get as much bottled water as you wanted in the room. Plenty of Sun lounger options by the pools and the beach. Lots of shade too which was perfect for little ones. Even though the hotel was busy and had lots of guests, it felt calm and relaxing. The Merlin Reef centre was great. We only used it to find out about the fish on the reef, but there were lots of options for activities to try. Already dreaming of when I can come back!

What a great hotel. Couldn’t fault any aspect of it other than being told on check in desk, that the deposit of 7000 baht would be refunded back into my account within 14 days. It’s now well over that. We left the room with no damage, and was always in credit on our account. Always charged up our account with a card. In fact we were in credit when we checked out. So I do not understand how a company such as the Marriott can make a holiday so great, but spoil it a little by not returning your deposits. We wasn’t told either that deposits would be taken prior to the holiday, but if you check in, expect to pay a deposit if you book a room with bed and breakfast only. Marriott, please return my deposit-!.
