Considering what you pay (which is not much at all) you get great value for your money. Good WiFi, air-conditioning and pool area and decent rooms. Sound isolation is terrible however, so you hear almost everything going on in both the corridors as well as on the street outside (something all Patong hotels have in common though, so not unique for this hotel). The manager of the hotel also did not speak a single word of English. Considering how cheap this hotel is I don’t feel that we can complain that much. However, basic understanding of English should be something that everyone in the hotel business should have.... if not for that this hotel would get five stars!

We came to my friends and I to the hotel to finish our stay in Thailand when we arrived we got a smelly room and in bad condition we asked that we were changed from room and gave us one in a worse state and far from our friends when we finished the stay at the hotel they made us pay the sheets and the towels because they were dirty 60 euros asked us to get dirty and did not change the sheets in 4 days without a doubt, many hotels in Phuket running from this place nothing recommended

Our aim was to chill by the pool, enjoy the weather and do practically nothing. This is exaclty what we did. Located very close to indoor food market and shops, so much variety. 10 minute walk to the beach, close to 7 eleven and other good restaurants. Pool made it for us. Daily room service. Safe and quite area. Staff friendly, was able to print out Indian visa's and plane tickets at front desk for almost nothing.

My brother booked this hotel on my advise after reading the reviews on here,had to move hotels after a few days due to the bed bugs,the hotel looks good but believe me there is nothing nice about this hotel

The room that I stayed for 3 nights were worth the penny. The room was quite big and the lighting of that very room was so romantic. We had some communication barriers with The one who greeted us but the superiors quickly took actions by taking over her place to communicate with us! I would recommend this place to my friends and so do you.

Only stayed here for one night on a quick trip to Phuket. The hotel was ok and good for a budget hotel - it was quite far from the main strip but still walking distance. The staff were ok and there is plenty of things to do in the area. I would stay here again if i was on a budget - but wouldn't be rushing back.

Arrived at hotel to a rude lady on reception, made me pay her bank fee (then of course i get charged on my bank card too) so she added extra 5% on my booking confirmation, then told to pay 1000BAHT deposit. Had to find our own room and she couldnt care less to show us to it, and opened the door to a small, smelly, stained room. Nothing like photos online! Had been checked in for 26 minutes and i complained to my booking company - the hotel then gave us dirty looks, clearly spoke behind our backs and did not make any effort with us. Rude, Disgusting people and hotel. Avoid this place.

We didn't stay there as when we checked in there was a problem with the air conditioning in the room and we couldn't connect to wi-fi. When I brought this up with the lady she managed to 'sort-of' get the air con fixed and then said that if we were unhappy we must find somewhere else to move to - all been said in an angry and rude tone. So we did find another place, and then when we tried to check out and get our money back she didn't want to give it all back and wanted to charge us cancellation. We argued, she yelled at me, I had to speak to her husband who yelled at me - it was absolutely appalling. From the minute we arrived to when we left we didn't get one smile, a welcome greeting or any good customer service. The other places we stayed in Phuket and Thailand were so different and everyone was so friendly, but not this place!!…

Hi There, I expected this review from you also because you told that to us at our property! We are so sorry you did not like our hotel, but let me do a few consideration. The Air condition is working very well, but you did not understand how to set it with the remote and we have explained to you. Internet is working well, we have tried in front of you with 3 phones and only your phone can't connect! You came down at the reception after 2 hours, occupied the room and taking a shower. You asked for the full refund even in your booking was clearly written that if you want to cancel the booking you have to pay 1 night penalty, and you have insisted 1 hours for the full refund without stop chatting and without listen our reasons. I hope you have enjoyed your stay in Patong elsewhere!

In my experience the accomodation is fairly similar around Patong depending on your price range. What makes me return is the hotel staff and at The Star the staff are second to none. They were so accommodating to my needs and were very helpful and patient when i was being difficult at times. I have never met a more friendlier bunch. After 9 days I built such a strong relationship with them that it was truly sad to leave. Thank you so much Bee and Ross because of you two my stay at Patong will be an experience I will never forget. Definetly will be back. See you soon!

The price is relatively expensive, the service is poor and they argue and are not nice. just give a towel and do not agree to give another towel! And the towel is dirty. The hotel's internal phone is not included in the price, only one toilet paper is provided. Just ridiculous!!!
