Superb services, the room was very clean and bed was so comfy. All staffs are well-trained and friendly. I was extremely impressed with breakfast buffet, many optional pasties during Covid restrictions comparing with other hotel (mostly A la carte), the food are quality with large selections. Thank you all staffs for taking a good care during my stay.
We stayed at The Grand Mercure for 6 nights in July 2021 during Phuket Sandbox. The hotel were amazing at organising the PCR tests, even coming back with me when my son had an inconclusive result and speaking Thai and helping me sort it out. We had a 1 bedroom pool villa which was more than enough space for a family of 4, we had an extra bed and there was a little sofa so we all slept very comfortably for 6 nights. There is a fridge, a mini bar that is restocked daily (chargeable but not expensive!), plenty of water and towels. I loved the huge bath and the rain shower! The pool area is fairly small but my boys had a great time jumping in and out and using up energy and the outside chair is so comfortable. The best bit was that it felt really private like our own little hideaway, so quiet and calm. The hotel pool is great, steps for little ones and not too deep. The kids club is next to the pool so the kids can go back and forth. The breakfast everyday was amazing, one of the best we have had in Thailand...the pancakes, eggs Benedict, plentiful coffee and pork bacon and sausages were a winner! Also we are at bubbles restaurant one night and the 'Jewels of Phuket' set meal was incredible - still dreaming of that yellow crab curry! Me and my husband both had a Thai massage too which was very relaxing, just by the pool and the kids club so you can leave them supervised and sneak away. The staff couldn't do enough for us organising taxis, PCRs, dinners and recommendations for beaches etc. Thank you so much Grand Mercure we were so happy to be in Patong during this time and wish you all the success for the next few months and reopening of Thailand.…
Stayed during Phuket sandbox program. Pros: - The staffs and housekeeping were exceptional. They paid attention to every single detail. I was so impressed. - Delicious food - As an Accor platinum member, I got: 1. Upgraded to pool access room (Although I'm not a pool fan) 2. Free breakfast (The breakfast was superb!!!) 3. Free cake and drink every day because the lounge was closed due to covid 4. Late checkout till 4.30 pm Cons: - The room was a bit tiny - The in-room amenities didn't feel like a 5-star hotel - Lots of mosquitoes The service outweighed everything!!! Thank you all staffs for taking a good care of me during my stay.
Love the staff which is uniformly empathetic, responsive and well trained. Amazing morning buffet. And I love the pool. I am not a fan of Patong but a good launching point for the rest of the island. I was there for the 14 day Phuket sandbox program before returning home to Koh Phangan.
We have been traveled for decades and usually hopping from one hotel to another every 3 to 7 days but we stayed at this hotel for several weeks from July 10 to Sep 01, 2021 - We were check in by khun Nas, a hotel manager who made us a memorable vacation and friendly staffs that made us felt like "Home sweet home" -We were impressed with breakfast buffet during Covid restrictions, the food are delicious, quality with large selections. - Location is very quiet, short walking distance to Patong beach and shopping malls. - There a several good size swimming pools with clear water, we also enjoyed fitness center daily . We highly recommend Grand Mercure to anyone who is looking for a great hotel to stay.
