Go to the taxi kiosk INSIDE the terminal building situated just at the exit doors before you leave the building. Do not use one of the touts outside the building. The terminal taxis operate 24/7. Approx cost to Patong Beach was 20 pounds stirling ( 900 baht) in June this year. I tend to contact the hotel I will be staying at and ask them to arrange for a taxi pickup. It is often slightly cheaper and they take you direct to the hotel rather than the airport taxis who alwys seem to make an excuse to stop off at the office and while you at there somebody will try and sell you tours and trips. It can be slightly annoying when you have been travelling and want to get straight to your hotel. I hope that you enjoy your holiday. I love Phuket, a lovely place. Mike
