We only stayed for 2 nights to have a couple of ‘resort style’ days out of bustling Patong. Lovely hotel, beautiful standard room, with large balcony. We had an ok view, but nothing amazing, you need to go up in rooms to get better view- eg: pool access or villas. Staff were all helpful and lovely, and beautiful buffet breakfast.

The pros. The location is nice if you want to get away from the city night life. The views of the bay are breath taking. The free breakfast goes from 6.30 am to 10.30 am and is really good. The actual pool itself is really nice and has a swim up bar. The staff is really helpful and friendly. They have shuttles to take you into town and it’s easy to get a car if needed. If you’re looking for a reception spot over looking the bay the view is fantastic and the space seems adequate for a reasonable sized party. They have a shuttle that takes you to a local beach. The voucher they provide gets you in for free and gets you and your party chairs which saves around 10.00 per person. If you want to rent scooters it’s a short walk. Highly recommend as a taxi to town is around 300-400 baht Where renting a scooter for an entire day is 500. Check out is noon. Sek did a great job as he put my luggage away for me while I went into town as my flight didn’t leave till 10. When you check out, an attendant does a once over in the room to make sure you didn’t forget anything.
The cons If you don’t use the WiFi It kicks you off. This is extremely annoying as I had to re connect all the time. The construction of the pool is not ideal. Only 8 or so chairs can be placed directly by the pool. If you don’t have one of those chairs you have to find a spot on the deck to the left and right of the pool. We didn’t have a swim up room but they looked really nice but you lack the view of the ocean. Not beach front but you know that when booking. The drinks are all measured. There were times that when a drink was made and the shot glass wasn’t filled all the way, so a lot of half shots for a 8-10 dollar drink.

The location was a little bit far from Patong (around 5 mins driving), but no problem for self-driving. The unique location made the hotel be a quiet and beautiful place. The staffs are polite and helpful to the needs. Shuttle bus from the main door (Spa) to the lobby is 24 hrs, the door guide called the bus spontaneously when seeing my car going back. I have booked the deluxe sea view room and expecting the view should be towards Patong beach, but turn out it is on the left of the building and facing the other sides. Although the staff explained politely on this, still a little bit disappointed. The room cleaning service was good and effective, the view of the Atoms restaurant (Breakfast) was excellent. Although the breakfast serving was good in taste on average, I felt lack of choices as I stayed for 5 nights.

I stayed at crest for 6 nights for a friends wedding which was just down the road at the Marriott, I booked crest because the Marriott was full but not am I glad I did. For the price the rooms were amazing, the pool had an spectacular view and wasn’t ever overcrowded (unlike the Marriott), every morning I would go for breakfast and EJ (the host) always remembered me and made my morning feel special. This hotel is great if you sometimes want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Bangla road and just relax. Once again high praises to EJ!

This hotel is located high up on the hill, just outside Patong. The location offers some great views of Patong and the surrounding area. We stayed in a room with pool access, which was great as we could literally just access the main pool area from our terrace. The staff here are really friendly and helpful.
Pros Free shuttle bus into Patong at 11am,1pm,3pm, 5pm (would be great if there was one at 7pm) The breakfast is great, with plenty to choose from. Good fitness facilities
Cons The food/drink is not the cheapest, we ended up buying from a local shop (the 7/11 close by is currently closed) I recommend using the grab app, plenty of cheaper dining options.
If you miss the shuttle bus, taxis can cost around 700baht return. I recommend to use the bolt app (just like uber) plenty of taxis that charge 200 baht each way.
Overall it is a great hotel and would highly recommend.

After a long awaited thumbs up to be able to travel to Thailand using the sandbox visa We booked into the crest hotel using booking.com we searched 5 star spar hotel Phuket. hotel seemed and priced Ok. The pictures looked fabulous and in a perfect setting. What could possibly go wrong .
Arrival was disappointing , we didn’t receive the normal 5* Thai welcome that we are normally accustomed too…more a drink on a tray after we arrived because the receptionist forgot and when remembered shot away to do it . We booked but did not received the luxury sea view for both rooms . Our room looked directly to a green paint flaking wall . Very disappointed we asked to upgrade for a villa at out cost … every day for 3 days only to be told Miss Tip the manager was busy or taking lunch … no interest the reception was awful.
The room was dirty, the floors were filthy and with cobwebs over most of light shades, dusty rooms. This room had not been deep cleaned before our arrival.
The swimming pool is a death trap waiting to happen. Electrical cables hanging uncovered near pool edges. Some decking areas are collapsed with screws and broken wood exposed , not good for little feet . Generally the outside of the hotel is in poor repair and need a total refurbishment.
The swimming pool bar was playing inappropriate music that embarrassed me . Kids swimming listening to what can only be described as adult offensive music.
There is nothing to do in this hotel . Only one restaurant, all other amenities are closed , and you are a 12 pound return trip to any type of entertainment , and yes the hotel charges double the normal rate even the taxi drivers said “don’t book via hotel to expensive .”
The food is boring overpriced and expensive. For example breakfast works out at 12 pound per person , in town it’s no more than 3 pounds.
After all the disappointment, we chose to check out from this awful hotel and move to another hotel. After discussing with the assistant manager who was useless and the general manager TIP who was an absolute waist of time … she was eating lunch we had to wait . Her manner was rude , unsympathetic, and to be honest should be considers a liability to the hotel chain ,management who I welcome to contact me for more information . Her attitude lost you business. We offered to hand the rooms back and check out. She refused meaning you now have 12 days 2 empty rooms because of her stubbornness. We can’t believe we are sat in another hotel with 2 so called luxury rooms keys that you cannot rebook. She said we are fully booked, I don’t care! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL you will be very disappointed! It’s 3+ charging 5 star prices.

Nice room, friendly staff, good wifi. Free upgrade to sea view room and we really appreciate that. Very nice sea view from the swimming pool, breakfast area and rooftop bar. Need to improve on frequency of shuttle service to Patong, given that it’s not near to Patong. Current shuttle services from hotel to Patong only available at 11am/ 1pm/ 3pm/ 5pm/ 8pm/ 9pm. Return from Patong to hotel only available at 1.30pm / 3.30pm / 5.30pm / 9.30pm. Should increase more especially in the evening & night time. 5pm and 8pm shuttle services require thb100 per pax, other time is free, which I find the charges unreasonable. Anyway, it’s a nice hotel with great ambience. Recommended.

I am SO glad we decided to stay at Crest, on the mountain above Patong beach -- quick cab ride downtown but the beauty of dual views of the Anadaman Sea on either side of the peninsula tip! The ocean view swim out room was stunning and it was amazing to spend time with my wife relaxing with the infinity edge pool blending into the natural water beauty, also to swim down from the room to the main pool and bar!
Albert was so friendly and excellent at the rooftop bar served us great food and drink at sunset every night. Tuesday night there was live music.
Daily complementary beakfast was exquisite open air and tasty!
Everybody spoke English adequately.
Great clean gym.

Firstly the Room Villa 107, was a good layout, spacious, May have been nice when new, however there is peeling plaster and water damage on the ceiling. The sink in the kitchen area leaks and drips constantly, creating a pool of water on the floor outside the cupboards. The floor is very slippery and uneven due to water damage. The floor towel is being replaced every morning by the maids, but no one has contacted us about repairs. The quality of linen is ‘rag like’ and overall maintenance is terrible. Doors adjacent to pool can not be physically opened due to corrosion. The privacy screen around pool is full of rust, and the main doors to the balcony are out of square and let in the mosquitoes. As for the rest of the ‘resort’ the maintenance is terrible, add to that minimal facilities for the price you pay. Examples, no pool towels available after 1pm, you have to get in fast. Breakfast is a 1/5 if your lucky compared to other resorts in Asia; food is cold, small selection etc. There is no lobby bar, the only bar available during the day, is a swim up pool bar. There is a bar on the rooftop that opens at 6pm in fine weather, it is poor. The food available at the resort is basic and tasteless. Overall the resort has no ambiance, or life. We left the resort everyday, which was not what we had planned @. $600+AUD per night. Never again, stay with a noteable chain, Marriott etc, who have standards and expectations to fulfill.

The hotel is really good and the staff very welcoming. It is far enough from Patong beach to be quiet and the hotel provides access to free shuttles to get down to Patong. The breakfast is excellent (except the bread and the pastries which are clearly not up to par) Some negative points, however: if you plan to relax around the pool, you will need courage, you will have your ears full: the music is a kind of low-end industrial pop that turns in a loop (really in a loop, this is not an image). What a shame ! The place is so peaceful without music, we can hear the birds and the sound of the wind and ... bammm, it's over. Another inconvenience is the cleaning of the rooms, done according to a somewhat incomprehensible schedule: it can be done at 10 a.m. or ... at 5 p.m. ....
