Stayed here for one night and due to circumstance was just looking for a good value as there was no time for a resort setting this trip to Rayong. In that situation I usually stay at the Marriott but for a place to sleep and run errands within Rayong this place was great. Room was bigger than I expected, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was solid considering the limitations these days but given the space they are using assume that in "normal" times it is probably quite grand.

Hotel situated on main street Sukhumvit just in front of night market. Room is huge and clean. Pool need some refreshments. Good breakfast with different choices. Free parking. For the price, location and for one night, it was good option.

The rooms are big and relatively clean, not super clean. Nothing luxurious, but functional. The bed is not super comfortable and the pillow was super hard. The A/C works only if you are in the room and there is no A/C in the common area. The bathroom is the least refined part of the room with 0 amnesties. The breakfast is 100% Asian food of low quality. Wifi is working ok, on the slow side.

My family stay here for one night for vacation. Room was nice and clean. I stay at building A 3rd floor. No balcony and no view from my window, just wall. This hotel is close to mall. We went there by hotel's service car. After we finish at mall we just call to hotel and they come and picked we up to hotel for free. Pool was nice and clean. My children like to play here. Breakfast is good. They have many kind of food to serve but some kind of food is not much to serve. If you plan to spend time at beach, this place is quite far from beach. But if you plan to stay in town, this is good choice to select.

The Golden City is a long way from the beach so it is mainly used for functions and conferences. Having said that, it is a pleasant place to stay. I had a room in the new wing - bright, spacious and nicely designed. My main criticism is the poor quality of the toiletries provided. Breakfast buffet was busy but there was a good selection of hot and cold food. Overall I would be happy to come back.

Quiet hotel conveniently located near to a shopping mall in the center of Rayong. Efficient service, room clean , small pool but ok to refresh you, small fitness center and Internet work well. Good price for the quality level

My wife and I stayed overnight at this hotel on our way down to Koh Chang. We decided to go for the deluxe room since the deluxe was only five dollars more than the superior room. You would never know it by looking at the outside, but the inside of the hotel was beautiful and modern. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was amazingly clean and came with all of the typical amenities. The bed was very soft. We also took advantage of the breakfast buffet that was included with the cost of the room. It was fairly good, catering to western, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese tastes simultaneously. We had a lot of fun with the pancake machine. After check out, we crossed the street and got a public transit taxi to the bus station down the road and continued to Koh Chang. There was a great fruit/food market directly across the street, as well as a higher-end mall a short walk down the road. The only disappointment was that the pool and jacuzzi were not open due to re-tiling. However, we had a great time, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Room is renovated and good conditions. Location is in the main street road, easy to go everywhere. Breakfast is very good, more selection than other hotels in the same range. Staff service is OK. Price is reasonable, not cheap nor expensive.

Golden city Rayong hotel is very good hotel value for money. i stay here long time around 3 to 4 month . Hotel food and Staff is very good . i too much enjoy here this is my 1st trip out of India . and my favorite thai soup is tom yum kum .Overall is good location near food market , big shoping mall , swimming pool , spa , gym , good breakfast.

Went and stayed for a friend's wedding. The room was clean and the service was good. Each room has a massive window allowing plenty of sunshine to come through. The downside is only that the bathroom has no recirculation fan.
