I think Amanpuri suffers from a reputation that just cannot be realistically delivered on, on a consistent basis. In a way it is a victim of its own terrific reputation and as a result, high expectations from its guest. My wife and I ended our two week honeymoon with a four night stay at Amanpuri. While I can't say we...

We left the hotel two weeks and can't stop talking about it. Amanpuri was the last stop of a weeks long trip in South East Asia and I cannot think of a better way to end it. Their level of service blew us off since we landed in Phuket. By mistake, I gave the hotel the wrong flight information and...

No where did we read that we have to walk on nearly 175 steps from our room to reach the beach, no lifts here, so older people might find it difficult What was shocking is after such a walk to reach to main area, you get No service Warm beers Aperitif Drinks arrive after your main course and off course...

A big thank you to Mr. Paul Linder and his team - we had a wonderful time - especially the dinner at the Italian Restaurant with F&B director Mr. Davide Guidi was excellent. The hotel has a fantastic view over the sea - its very quite and romantic and the best place to relax and having a very good time.

Visiting Amanpuri has been a dream of mine for years and was so happy to finally visit this stunning resort in January with my brother and mother who were visiting me in Bangkok. What an amazing resort. There are no words! Everything is perfection - the setting, the food, the villas, the service.... THE SERVICE! Everyone was so nice and...

This place has it all, from a beautiful beach, warm water, amazing accommodations and good food. The help was present when needed, but otherwise unobtrusive. The food was delicious, and all in all I can't wait to return

I have to say I'm a fan of Aman hotels and Amanpuri doesn't disappoint. it is 20+years since it was built but as the hotel is on a revolving update program nothing is faded or past its best. ( and no workmen in sight!) If re-fueling batteries is what you need then this is the spot. I think this hotel...

Screaming kids everywhere, nouveau riche flaunting it wildly. Staff just about keeping up with the masses of people. Now a bloody drone is videoing us from above. Not sure we came all this way for this. The third Aman for us this year and the second substandard one,(Amanyara was also below par)

The setting, the architecture, design and finishes for this property are really impressive. Gorgeous beach, beautiful black tile infinity pools, gym with a killer view and an amazing spa. The rooms are both beautiful and comfortable. The atmosphere is vey Zen-- complete with afternoon tea and nightly live Thai music in the main courtyard. It is a welcome escape from...

The first Aman resort, opened 28 years ago, does not show its age at all and still sets the standard for ultimate luxury. From the pick-up at the airport, a 30min drive away, to the drop-off at passport control, after they navigated you through the check-in crowds to the only empty security line at the back of the hall for...
