This is a unique hotel. Its location is great and the beach gorgeous. It is a small paradise. The only bad news is that at some point you need to leave. Key positives : -the quality of the villas -the sense of privacy -the beach -quality of the staff -quality of the food -the gym is great Can be improved...

Yes, there are plenty of "hipper" resorts in Phuket...but none compare to the quiet elegance at Amanpuri, or the level of "anticipatory" service and gentle care from the staff. We were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary double upgrade. The private beach is one of the best in Phuket with a fine restaurant for lunch. On this trip, we also stayed...

We (husband and 9 month old baby ) had a 4 night mini break on the way back home to Australia from a work trip in Europe. I have wanted to stay at The Amanpuri for nearly 10 years so my expectations were very high and I was not disappointed. We were given pavilion 103 which had an enviable position...

We had previously stayed at several Aman properties, in Bali, however were not sure what to expect from Amanpuri. We booked this resort very short notice and every day was a confirmation in itself that we had made the right choice. We were met upon arrival by Sandra, one of the assistant managers, who knew exactly who we were and...

Those coming to Amanpuri expect a luxurious holiday resort with top service. They won't be disappointed. I first came here in 1988 with my father, the year in opened. This was the first Aman resort. Since then the resort has expanded, but not hugely. We booked 2 garden pavillions this time. I was a bit concerned about other reviews concerning...

First, ignore the sour spoiling reviews on here. The staff are courtesy itself and although understated and anything but flashy, the resort has the kind of polished perfection normally seen only on a filmset. And yes, I've had experience of Peninsulas, Mandarin Orientals, The Ritz, etc etc all my life so I know the grand old hotels with which I'm...

Hotel has been expanding during last twenty years. Around Christmas, you will have to wait to get a seat at restaurant on the beach, where, now, there are buggies can take you Twenty years ago, owners didn't want any children or old people. I guess they are aging also. But the best is to rent a house in the complex....
