I stayed on a weekday, it may get worse on the weekends. Very very loud Isan dance music from a nearby club, they kept playing until 1 am. I wanted to complain next morning but guy at the front desk can't speak English. Bring your ear plugs if you want to stay there.

This is at least my third visit. I returned because it is a quiet, simple, and inexpensive stopover in UT for 1 night on my way to Laos. The communal part of the hotel is tidy, well maintained and clean but unexceptional. However, I only want a good comfortable room rather than paying for frills I do not use. The rooms themselves are very clean, in a good state of repair and exceptionally well and thoughtfully decorated. Tea-making facilities, hair dryer, toiletries, safe, fridge, It almost seems like a 4+ star hotel once inside the room. I have no need to look anywhere else in UT now I have found this hotel. I will continue to stay here in the future.

Really nice hotel. I flew into Udon Thani airport and there was free pickup. The hotel is location in a quiet area about 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. There's free wifi. The room had a fridge, TV, kettle etc etc. Even a balcony. I got a good nights sleep. I went to the adjacent restaurant for breakfast. I had pork fried rice for 60 Baht. There was a mountain of it and I couldn't finish it. They gave me free water and 3 free bananas. I checked out and they asked where I was going and they offered me a free ride to UT's bus station 2 :-) Very kind since it's about 5km from the Lion King hotel. I managed to get a bus onto Loei thanks to this kind gesture. Thanks :-) I will stay here again if in UT again

I was there in December. My wife and I checked in, put our luggage in the room and went to lunch. Upon return from lunch, our room had been gotten into. No broke window or door. Our computer and Ipad had been taken and they tried to take the TV from the wall. I immediately went to the lobby to inform the management. All I got from them was no one entered the room. Maybe the maintenance man I was told. No interest from management. I will not say an inside job, just will let one make up their own mind. We left immediately left. No offer of refund at all. Total time in room 30 minutes. My advice is to run away from this place.

Tucked away in a small soi, this hotel represents very good quality to price ratio. Rooms are spacious, equipped with nice big tv and big bathroom. Internet is good too. Breakfast available for extra fee. Small car park on the premises. Only downside is location, bit outside from main city centre (20 minutes walk).
