Great place. Nice and quiet ideal place to base yourself for touring around the area. I highly recommend it. After a day out, its nice too sit by the pool or outside the bungalow. Close to shops and night market etc.

I knew this place by Google and I would like to say thanks to help me find nice hotel in Udon Thani. Tanita is not like hotel because it's not too much staff but a service is OK. The best thing is view around my room lagoon, rice field, mountain and garden are beautiful for me. Again google thank you

We had been this place for 1 year ago. When we back here again it is better than our last time because now it has swimming pool and 2 department store near by. So it be sure we'll be back Tanita again,

At first we were a little bit worried going down back roads to Tanita, but then we turned into the front gate and were pleasantly surprised by the surroundings. We were greated by the owner and was taken to our bungalow by the water. It was very quiet, clean and peaceful to be in such a nice place after a day of traveling. They had a western and Thai menu for all meals, we have an extremely tasty and cheap meal delivered to our room overlooking the water.
Like other reviews we read the owner went above and beyond his hosting duties, in the morning he was kind enough to drive us to the local bank and then to the airport so we could catch a bus to the friendship bridge on the border. Once we arrived at the airport he realized that the bus/taxi company was going to rip us off so he insisted that he would drive us 1 hour to the border himself, expecting no payment.
Once we arrived at the friendship bridge he only left our side once we were through Thai immigration.

We cannot recommend Tanita and it's owner highly enough, it is number one on trip advisor for all the right reasons, it is just a shame that we could not stay longer.
And it had fast WIFI.!!!

If you are independent business or leisure traveller(s) you will like this great and exceptional quiet, peaceful and beautiful place. There is a top of the line, very clean swimming pool overlooking the large lake, places to walk, run and fish, very good wifi in your room or outside on your own private balcony overlooking the lake. Each room has television and some stations are in English, stocked fridg, aircon and hot water bath. Just give a call and your food comes or go near the office and get something to eat or drink, a film to watch. The staff is friendly, professional and the grounds are expansive and beautiful. It is a good place to practice your Thai with the staff who speak enough English to accomplish anything you need such as giving you tourist information and arranging rides to the nearby airport, Udon Thani or other places of interest. There is a place for conferences for our meetings and soon a restaurant which we imagine will have excellent food.

We had to pick an airplane very early in the morning and decided to stay at TaNiTa the day before, as it takes only some minutes to the airport and the taxi is complementary.

For 800 Baht (or 1200 at the pond) we didn`t expected much, but we got a very nice resort and so friendly and helpful stuff, that we were pleasantly surprised.

The furniture and decoration uses antique parts of Thailand, beside the pond there is also a swimming pool and the nice garden invites the guests to walk around before sunset.

Only the restaurant looks abandoned, but the reason may be the customers themself, as breakfast (and any other meal) is served at your bungalow without surcharge. So, who wants to sit in a restaurant, if you can sit on your own terrace and eat there?

Breakfast is served at any time, just make your appointment and you get served.

Someone wrote in his review, his breakfast was cold? At least ours was warm :-)
Dinner served at our bungalow was also delicious and copious, no complains there.

Only the bed was very strong (typical thai) and the pillow by far too big for our liking.

I just stayed at this hotel. It was truly a wonderful experience. The owner was waiting for me at the airport (free of charge) when I got off the plane. The room is very big and comfortable. I had a beautiful view of the lake, a really tasty (and cheap) dinner, and a free breakfast in the morning that was delicious. The free and fast wifi was an added bonus. The owners are just really fine people all around. They offered to take me to the bus station the next morning where I was catching a bus to Laos. When I realized that I could not get a visa there, they were kind enough to drive me almost an hour away to get my visa and put me on the right bus. They did it at half price that the taxi's were offering. They speak very good English, and communicated for me so that no one took advantage of me while I was trying to secure the visa and the bus ticket. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you are in transit to Laos or just looking for a nice quiet hotel in northern Thailand to relax for a few days.

My wife and I have stayed here 4 times before. It keeps becoming more amazing... (Now with a swimming pool). My wife's family's farm is a 2 hour drive from here.. We had tried 3 places before we found this place 2 years ago( all were gross or basic boring places).
Here we can literally fish thru the window while on our bed.
The owner is super attentive and kind.. Wish I owned a place like this

Very nice, clean well-kept rooms. Close to the airport. Food brought to your porch, with a phone call. Quiet location; friendly staff. This resort was a great value for the money, and much more fun and romantic than a sterile hotel. We did not swim in the pool, but it looked to be well-maintained and inviting. I suggest that you bring mosquito spray (I did not), but that was the only drawback to our stay. I strongly recommend this resort for either a relaxing vacation, or as an overnighter when passing through Udon Thani.
