The Rock Ledge Motel is family owned and operated. It is located one and a half miles from the downtown business district which makes this a great choice for a good night's rest. When staying at the Rock Ledge you can be confident that your room will be clean and tidy at your check in.
We stayed at Rock Ledge based on the positive reviews, and were not disappointed. The location and price were great - the room was very clean, with nice features, such as lamps on either side of the bed with extra outlets and a USB plug, a power-strip, comfortable chairs outside the room, wonderful magnifying mirror in the bathroom, and 2 grab bars in the bathroom, plus plenty of drawers. I would have liked more than 3 hangers in the closet area, and a separate receptacle to hold the scoop for the ice (rather just placed in with the ice). The shower was fine, except it was like a gentle rain shower. The location set off the road was nice, and I was greeted by a deer and fawn behind the property when I went to fetch some ice. There is no breakfast or restaurant, but enough places to eat nearby. Fred, the owner, was very friendly and helpful.

This is a gem of a place, with the units, some of which are individual cabins, set away from the road on beautifully kept grounds. The owners are friendly and welcoming — this is one of those family-owned places that are to be cherished. The units are spacious with comfortable beds and furnishings that are well above conventional motel standards. Housekeeping is impeccable. A winner in every way

Not many quality choices in A-Bay but we gave Rock Ledge a try. We rented a double cabin and were glad we did. We ended up using one half more or less to store our stuff and slept in the second. Owners were super nice, unit was clean and comfortable and housekeeping almost seemed like they watched when you left, swept in and made up the room in a jiff. Convenient to A-Bay and the rest of the Thousand Islands. Would stay there again.

My husband and I visited this charming motel June 26th and 27th (2021) for the 14th Annual Thousand Islands River Run motorcycle rally. We arrived nearly 4 hours earlier than the normal check-in time of 3 pm but the wonderful owners, Jim and Cindy Durand, had the room ready and let us in early with no additional charge! We stayed in #17 of the 20 room strip motel - a double room - and the accommodations were more than adequate for our needs. The beds were soft, the adorable appointments and furnishings made it very cozy and the entire room was immaculately clean! The staff was friendly and welcoming. This facility is conveniently located about a mile from 'downtown' Alex Bay and set back far enough from the road so there wasn't too much traffic noise. Large window in the back allow lots of natural light in. There is a field behind the motel so it is very quiet. We will definitely stay here again!

This motel is an example of keeping quality in an older motel with up to date furnishings, bedding, and amenities. It was immaculately clean and there was everything you would expect in a large hotel room, like hair dryer, ironing board etc. The people who own this business were welcoming and available for any needs, such as additional towels or coffee. We would return here any day.

We stayed one night at Rock ledge Motel and were very pleased with it! It is just a few minutes from the heart of Alexandria Bay. There are motel rooms and also some tiny individual cottage rooms. We stayed in the motel, and the room was very clean and comfortable. It had screened windows that can be opened if you want that instead of the air conditioner, and had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There is a porch in front with 2 rocking chairs in front of each room. We would definitely stay there again!

Warm welcome upon arrival! Facility was clean and offered all the convenience to feel like the comfort of your home (TV, Coffee maker, microwave, refrig.) Grounds were manicured and we utilized the outdoor bar-b-que picnic area. The location was perfect, esp. if you enjoy a nice relaxing walk into down town Alexandria Bay. I would highly recommend this quaint motel!

We stayed for one night. The room was nice and clean. The woman checking me in was super friendly and ran to grab me tissues to wipe my glasses from the pouring rain. Nicely located about a mile from town.

An old style motel, updated and comfortable. Rooms set back from the road with lovely grass and trees surrounding the motel. A nice picnic table and bbq on lawn. Park in front of room, enjoy the fire flies sitting in rockers outside the room. We highly recommend staying here and would stay again!
