I booked the Flamingo directly by telephoning the hotel from the UK, the lady who turned-out to be the owner’s wife (Hela), was welcoming and very friendly, made the booking for me with no issues at all, didn’t require credit card or any guarantees, and when I requested a room with a sea view, she said no problem. This is...

We just loved the place. Great location on the beach. A wonderful management ( kind and professional) with a great and friendly staff. The hotel proposes all kinds of menus fitting any diet restrictions. They went out of their way to accomodate my vegan diet and always with a big smile on their face. A warm welcoming which is truly...

The staff is very nice. The hotel is fine just little far from the center of the island. Rooms are nice. The swimming pool is ok. Breakfast was correct. In general its a good hotel if you are passing few days and dont want to be in those big hotels. Unfortunatly the hotel doesnt have a private beach and not...

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Flamingo Beach, prompted by the suggestion of a friend who as stayed there on multiple occasions. I have been going to the beautiful island of Djerba (also spelled: Jerba) for many years. If one wants to stay along the seaside, the choices are usually among the large hotels, and LARGER! The Flamingo...

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is a great location on the beach between Houmt Souk and Midoun. Taxis are plentiful and a bargain. The owners, Nabil and Hela, are very welcoming and hospitable. I stayed in my favorite room, #202 with a balcony overlooking the beach. The hotel is very clean. The people...

Flamingo Beach hotel was one of the friendliest, and accommodating hotels that I have ever visited. Nothing was to much trouble, and their hospitality was exceptional. The location was beautiful, quiet, and located right next to the beach which was clean, and I've never seen such calm, lovely water. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. The food was presented...

Coming to Tunisia from the US and from France, we decided to re-discover Djerba one year after the Jasmine Revolution. We chose to stay in the Flamingo Beach Hotel, a very nice family-run human sized hotel overlooking the sea, located right above the beach, far from the hustle and the bustle of big resorts. The owners and managers of the...

I decided to try something new and Tunisia came to mind, Djerba in particular.Wanting to avoid all the package deal people i did some research and chose this small hotel. There were no other guests there apart from the cats when i arrived but the hotel slowly filled up during the week. This indeed was not a bad thing as...

We do anything to avoid the new “stack ‘em-high approach to modern sardine holidays, (your holiday pics may have been taken anywhere in the world!) This little gem emerged when seeking to avoid the above. We were met and welcomed by Nabil and Hela Bouabid who with their fantastic staff hosted us for two memorable weeks treating us like royalty....

“Ask for a room overlooking the sea. The views out the back are far less appealing.”
  • This was the view of the sea from my terrace.

“I prefer the rooms at the front of the second floor with balconys overlooking the beach. The rooms overlooking the swimming pool are very convenient to the pool, but if there are many children it can be a bit noisy.”
