Although this hotel was almost 20 minutes to the city center, it was closer to historical places like Mt. Nemrut. The service and meals were excellent which was surprising for me. I saw my room and a couple of others. It was ok - but not spectacular. One friends room had large chunks of the window sill that had fallen off. Definately not a non smoking hotel. This hotel was booked by a tour company from Goreme as part of a three day package. The hotel, once, would have been excellent. The design and fittings show what it would have been like many years ago. The reception area was spacious and our group enjoyed being able to relax in the lobby. The hotel kindly had free tea...

The previous reviewer's title is spot on. It is indeed a strange place. We stayed in the annex, attached to the hotel by going through a long dining hall. The bathroom, unlike Lonely Planet's description, was great. It had a bathtub and a new-looking toilet. However, we had no hot water. So the next morning, we were given keys to...

I stayed here for two nights while I was using Kahta as a base for exploring Turkey's famous Mt. Nemrut. To be clear, there is nothing going on in Kahta.
