Stayed at the Artur whilst visiting the Gallipoli Battlefields. In that respect it's not ideal as you have to get the ferry over from Eceabat (takes about half an hour, approx £8.50) but Cannakale a place worth visiting in its own right and quite different...More

Obviously the previous reviewers got the good rooms. My mother and I didn't. Initially we were given a very small room at the back of the hotel without a min-bar and a crappybathroom with a shower recess that needed a stepladder to get in it....More

Serves its purpose well, especially location as the 'Hassle Free' tour office is across the road as are the coach companies and ferries. Restaurants galore and the old city. Don't expect pristine/luxury, but it is good value, particularly if you book ahead via Booking.com, etc.

Well bayram 2as passed but on 25 26 27 october it should be open. You can check from the Turkey misintry of culture and tourism web site to be ensure.
