These apartments are typical Turkish apartments.By that I mean rooms are very basic. Facilities in them are adequate . The bedroom we had on the ground floor was very small but ok. The nice little old lady offered us clean but threadbare towels everyday. We normally do not suffer with mosquito problems but this week both my wife and I had a lot of bites. I don't blame that on the apartment just our bad luck. They are about a 7 minute walk from the seafront which can be very dark late at night. The owners don't go out of their way to make conversation with you but are pleasant when you do talk. Do not think we would book here again,as we have had much better in other places.

We travelled with another two couples in June this year staying for 11 nights. The seastar was ideal for us. The rooms were quite big and all had a balcony . The hosts were fabulous, such a friendly family who couldn't do enough for you. I found the bed comfortable , the cleaner came every day and would also do washing for you if required. The bar and pool area was really good, plenty of beds with comfortable mattress to place on top. Their food was nice for quick snacks but you needed to walk into town for posher meals, the walk wasn't too far and flat. We would definitely return.

We stayed at the Seastar in September. We had a fabulous two weeks. Really well located and a good base to venture from. We had a second floor apartment on the corner, overlooking the pool. The hosts as stated are very friendly and helpful. The living room / kitchen was large with a sofa bed, two balconies, one to the front and one to the side, overlooking the pool. Bedroom had very small wardrobe and a mirror with drawer shelf, not much storage. All fixtures and fitting are tired and are in need of updating, as is the bathroom. The cleaner was very good and even offered to launder our beach towels and clothes. The pool and bar area are nice and clean. We only had one pool day and one bar meal, which were good. The are located brilliantly. Away from the noise but a nice walking distance. On leaving the apartments, go right to the road, right again and cross over the bridge, right along the road and there is the supermarket (2 mins), continue along road, take a left and left again and that is the start of the Calis Beach. Seemed a lot of Dutch and German at this end, so you knew it would be good. Couple of nice restuarants, then continue walking along to enjoy the rest of Calis. Or come out of apartments, turn right and left along road, cross over water and go straight ahead to beach, take left along the prom. The boat trips are Excellent, we have done many in different resorts, these were by far the best. the food was super and they are nice small boats. There are a lot of return bookers at the Seastar and we felt some of them a little unfriendly to new visitors...... one of them stating 'It is like a little family here, no airs and graces'.... We like to book an apartment as a base and venture out, we prefer not to go for the BBQ nights, we have in the past, but feel there is too much to see..... so we do not want the Return Bookers making silly comments or judging us........ Each to their own If you go to the beach and turn right, go along the beach a little and then go up to the road there is a fab little LOCAL fish restaurant, not at all fancy but the food was fabulous, tucked away between beach and hotels. There is a Dolmus to Fethiye and there is a Taxi Boat to Fethiye... Taxi Boat is great fun. Fethiye does have a great choice of restaurants, the fish market is a great night out and behind the fish market a lovely restaurant called Mozaik, fab food, and you do have to book or sit and wait, well worth it. Nice town to wonder around, lovely restaurants' and bars and the bazaars are decorated so nicely. Market Day in Fethiye is a great experience. It was torrential rain, so we decided to venture to the market for the day, so much fun and the food at the stalls was delicious. All in all we had a wonderful two weeks in Calis - we also visited Marmaris (just short of 2 hour drive away) and Datca (a further 45 minute drive)

We have been to Turkey many times and had good holidays but Ahmet, Leya and their lovely family made this holiday somewhat special. From the direct booking to the private transfer, Ahmet took care of everything saving us time and money. While on holiday he arranged lovely boat trips, recomended great places to eat and even took us to a locals beach one day. My son and daughter loved the Volly ball (he's good!) each evening. The prices for food and drinks both at the Seastar and in Chalis are very cheap and great value. The bbq night was fantastic with great food cooked by Leyla, a game of Turkish skittles and the treat of their lovely daughter Zhara performing her ballet which was outstanding. I can not recommend this lovely family run accommodation enough and hope to return. Thank you so much Ahmet, Leyla and family from Simon, Zoey, Charlotte and Rory (Neymar).

We have been to Turkey many times, but when choosing this holiday we thought about going somewhere different and we we're so glad we did. Seastar is a little gem and Ahmed and Layla we're the perfect hosts. Room was basic but clean, the pool area was the cleanest ever and was never a problem with sunbeds. Will defo be going again. Thankyou Ahmed and Layla.

Great to meet up with all the previous guests that we met last year. Rooms could do with a little TLC, but doesn't detract from the stay. Ahmet and Layla bbq night was great, food was delicious. Skittles were fun even though we came last. Pool is a gem, and so clean, great for floating on a lilo. Bar is a great meeting place for beer o clock Efes time.

Had my first visit to Seastar in May this year for my nieces wedding which was being held at the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and the food eas always delicious. The hospitality of the family was second to none, the rooms and the pool immaculate all the time. There's nothing fancy about this hotel, no gimmicks, vending machines or pool tables but that's why it is so charming. If you want a good holiday with no pressure and an amazingly warm welcome look no further - I am already planning my return visit next year 😉

Basic but very clean (the bathroom could do with updating) Great accommodation, fantastic hosts, and fab location. Not far from beach and restaurants but far enough to be very quite during the day & evening. We had a very relaxing holiday and would recommend 100%

Brilliant little hotel just 5 minutes from the beach and the main strip, Ammed and his wife work tirelessly to make your holiday as pleasant and as easy as possible, the rooms are very clean and the pool and pool area are extremely well looked after. Wi fi is good . The food at the bar is of a good standard. We were welcomed in person on our arrival by Ammed and showed to our room then invited for a drink (nice touch at midnight) all in all this place is a hidden gem, only 18/19 rooms so easy to get to know people and never a problem with sunloungers etc. Thanks Seastar we have had a great holiday
