Stayed here for a week in early September. The weather was wonderful. Check in was swift and reception staff friendly. Reception and public areas all very clean and well presented as expected. Rooms good too and bathroom shower was efficient. The pool area was kept clean and tidy and the garden grounds were very well maintained. Plenty of food options from the excellent choice on offer at the buffet restaurant, pool bars and a 24 hour snack bar serving cakes and sandwiches. There was the usual pool entertainment and a nightly shows at the amphitheatre, which were very good. There was also a couple of on site shops selling basic necessities. There was not much in the area but a taxi into Calis was only around £5. Calis offered a variety of shops, cafe’s, bi-weekly market etc. I took the water taxi in to Fethiye a couple of times, a lovely town. Jiva is a beautiful hotel, no question about that, and overall I enjoyed my 10 day holiday last September - it was also our (myself and husband, late 50’s), first trip to Turkey, and it’s a country that I found very interesting, so I’d be happy to revisit and see more of. I wouldn’t necessarily go back to Jiva though, as it didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Don’t get me wrong it is one of the nicer holiday hotels I’ve stayed at, but there were things lacking, which included the very poor local alcohol substitutes, and the entertainment. The evening shows were pretty good for families with children, but not very polished or professionally ok generally. I can’t say that for all the acts that performed though, only the ones we saw. With regards to the alcoholic drinks, they really weren’t up to standard, and most of the cocktails were just sweet tasting, and to me they all tasted the same. We ended up walking into town most evenings for a proper drink. The thing that irked me more than anything, however were the facilities made available for guests who had to check out at midday when their flight was very late in the evening, which unfortunately ours happened to be. The room was awful, it was underground, near the main swimming pool, like a concrete bunker, the lighting was terrible, as was the hairdryer, not acceptable. And yes I did ask that my concerns were passed to management, hopefully they were heard and something will have changed for this season. I know that a great many families come back to Jiva year after year, and I understand why, as the staff were lovely, the atmosphere chilled, food of a high standard, and everything very clean and presentable, but we will probably give it a miss.…

This was our first time to this part of Turkey, In the local of Fethiye, but closer to the town of Calis pronounced (Chullish). Hotel: Check in was seamless in the early hours with the porter taking our bags to the room, Offered a tip but didn't take it (refreshing) He also took us down the the 24 hour sandwich and drinks bar so we could get a snack- Great service and a credit.. wish I'd taken his name. Room: Good size room and shower room with the usual facilities. Our room was facing East (i think) with a bit of a view off to the mountains and fethiye in the distance. We had a loft room which was okay but would have preferred one lower with a sunny balcony. There are swim up room but pay close to 500 extra ? when you may use it once or twice seemed steep. Grounds includes The grounds and the rooms with pools did enhance the feel of the place though. Spotless and staff on their game. Several pools and a dedicated kids pool. spotless and warm. 3 Ala carte restaurants we didnt use but the feed back from others was positive Several bars close to the pools Entertainment was in the Amphitheatre a few were really good, option t have a drink and a laugh downstairs from the 24 hours snack bar. private Beach: some sand some pebbles - sea nice and warm, water sports if to wish; Beach bar for drinks and small snacks nut, fruit Staff front of house to cleaners were great. Shout out to mustafa Jet2 Rep always available and a wealth of knowledge In short a great week's holiday Pros: Great food for an AI Good laugh around the pools with the entertainment team- even if not involved they do bring a smile to your face Beach on the doorstep Mustafa at the reception most days Cons: A tad out of the way if you like a walk to investigate, there is not much in local area ; you can walk to Calis centre but in 30 plus degrees? Taxi is a few pounds Loft room was okay but on reflection would have emailed front of house and asked for something different Tips: Calis market twice a week few pound in taxi - the usual turkey stuff. Average to good fake clothing , Good cheap leather, keep away from fragrances. Wallet £5 don't pay more Bag £10 to £15 don't pay more, Deal of the day UGG flip flops Mrs said its like walking on air £9; Trainer £10 Take several £5 notes and £10s If you love this type of thing ask Mustafa about the market in Fethiye about 4 times the size Transfer book you own approx £45 one way to save the coach torture - use coach to go back Have a massage - full Hammam and back massage £60 on site £30 off site …

2nd visit this year and still an excellent resort. Hotel immaculate, food plenty of choice and hot (buffet food usually Luke warm in other hotels) easy access into Fetiye by local bus just outside. Animation team make this hotel, not over bearing but encourage everyone to participate, special thanks to Mars, Barney, Dedee, Ellj & Iron, entertainment was good and most evenings there was professional shows then a disco & karaoke. Check-in was quick and reception staff where helpful. All the bar staff and restaurant staff where friendly and efficient and never to many queues, We enjoyed ourselves that much we’ve already booked for next year.

We had our 3rd summer vacation at Jiva with my husband, and we made our plans to go there next year already. Everything was superb as always, the food, the cleanliness, the facilities, etc. But the best in Jiva is the animation team. Thanks again for such a joyful holiday both at daytime and at night. We were a family of four including my two autistic children from start to finish we were blown away by the high class resort, staff and entertainment team. Leo (such an amazing young man x) and his team worked tirelessly to ensure fun filled days and nights were guaranteed. Rodney Mars and all team really looked after everyone with laughter all day. All of the team really pulled out the stops to involve my Daughter Jayne in everything even my grumpy Jonathan. The food was always well presented and plentiful the drinks were as standard. Absolutely fantastic resort, been a few times and never misses a beat! All the staff were amazing as per usual like Mars, Rodney and Iron. They all made the experience that much more amazing for me and my family as they do every year. Will be back in 2023 for sure!!
