Upon arrival at 1:30 am the receptionist gave us the key to our room on the 3rd floor and pointed in the general direction of said room he did not indicate a lift and left us tom our own devices. the room was basic but clean. the breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff very attentive. using the poolside bar stroke restaurant was an experience cash transactions are not allowed and you are required to sign for all transactions. the prices are also very high with beer being 7 lira more expensive than restaurants on the beach front. the entertainment was also poor and impossible to avoid as the rooms are not insulated from noise. the ac was antiquated and noisy .. I would not recommend to anyone

We stayed at Pelin Hotel between 9th June-19th June 2019 . Our room was a standard double bed sized room which was quite clean and comfortable room whick cleaned everyday. The cleaning lady (Ummu) was arranging our towels on our bed almost everyday with different formations like twin swams. At the bar Ahmet & Oktay was very polite. When we asked for a fresh lemonade and an orange juice they actually pick the organic fruits from hotels own garden and prepared for us. At breakfast and dinner Yusuf (the manager) and waiters Omer, Huseyin and almost every other staff including the chefs helped us at personal level and with very polite attitude. Food was above average and quite tasty. At the lobby Arzu & Batu did help us whatever we asked for with again very respectfully and politely. I met people which spent their sixth holiday in this hotel and planning to come back. The minor problems was the WI-FI was not very strong at some sections of the hotel, but The lobby, the restaurant and the bar & poolside was quite OK .

Room clean and basic. Your not allowed to bring drinks in. I arrived at 1 in the morning and checked in. I asked if I can purchase a cold drink after a long journey. Just a blank face looking at me, no the bar is closed. Cleaners very happy and always say hello. Woman at reception speaks good English and very helpful. The rest of the staff are rude, never smile and very unhelpful. Went to the bar and asked to buy a lager. The bar staff can’t speak a word of English and had to translate using his phone. They give you a card to pay for drinks and food then pay at the end of your holiday. He puts a glass on the bar and gives me a unopened bottle of beer. Turkish man orders a beer, barman all smiles, gives him a glass opens the bottle for him and pours it out! For him. 99% Turkish staying there. Manager come running up to me, where is your card. Can I have a sip of my beer first. There was only one other English couple staying there for the whole week. Coaches pull up every day for locals to stay the night, they get breakfast at 7 in the morning enyone else 8 o clock, didn’t bother with breakfast. Not worth it. No toaster, tea and coffee in big urns and like knats piss. Breakfast on the beach for 3 quid. Maid came to clean my room, I was on the balcony she said hello then locked me on the balcony. Shouted down to the bar for somebody to let me out, blank faces. Plus side good location, air con free and wi Fi works in your room. Just bring your own drinks in and leave them under the air con. Would I go back, I doubt it. They need to go on a coarse and be taught to smile, be happy and welcoming.

Just got back from a week stay at Pelin. Not great! Arrived at 7am - meant to have arrive at 3am but we were delayed. Got there and the room was a mess! Previous persons beer in there, dirty floor, bedding not changed. Went back to reception and was told to wait an hour until the room would be cleaned. Luckily the cleaner turned up and cleaned it after about half an hour. Lovely cleaner! Found the staff quite rude, didn’t want to do anything or speak to you and after going to turkey for 14 years I was very shocked at this! Bar staff very rude. Lady on reception spoke wonderful English and was absolutely lovely but the rest of them couldn’t give a monkeys! Location wise it’s great, 5 minutes to the beach. Basic hotel but not too bad once your rooms been cleaned! Definitely won’t return. Shocked to see such rude people. I understand some don’t speak English so using the Turkish that I know, I tried to speak to them but they didn’t care!

Staff friendly , good location lovely pool. Good food and service. The room was clean and towels fresh. The mattress was too soft for me though. Overall value for money and quiet . You can catch the domus nearby into Fethiye and to the Koca Calis beach the opposite direction. Near enough to Calis beach to go for a swim or in the evening go out for a meal in one of the many restaurants.

It is almost 5 years since we last stayed here and there were some apprehensions about what we might find. All I can say is that this hotel continues to provide excellent friendly service, with rooms kept immaculately clean. I do not wish to go on about how good the place is as I want to ensure we will always be able to book a room for repeat stays! Definitely a place for couples!

We have been coming to this hotel for many years now in Calis, the staff are so friendly & welcoming & the atmosphere is great. The rooms are good plus also a safe for personal belonging & maid service every day the only down side is there isn't a lot of wardrobe space for two people. The breakfast has plenty of choice & you can get food by the pool at lunch time. It is a short walk to the beach or the shops & restaurants.

Bearing in mind the price and classification of the hotel it was excellent value and gave us very little to complain about. We stayed for 11 nights late Aug/ early September and has one of the best holidays in years. The staff were the highlight of the hotel; always polite, hospitable and willing to go the extra mile for our comfort. The maid was lovely and made a huge effort with room presentation whenever she had been. The pool was peaceful and bar service excellent. The breakfast was the only meal we had which was ok but with so many options in calis, often opted to eat out. The room was basic but very clean with no issues to report. There was no iron provided but the laundry service was such great value we chose to put most clothing we brought through. Overall we would highly recommended the hotel and calis itself for a great value holiday.

The hotel is situated 500 metres from the back of Chalis beach. It is a nice hotel offering economical and very clean accommodation. Bed linen and bath towels changed daily. The staff and management work hard and long to keep everyone happy. They are all cheerful and helpful. Big, spotlessly clean pool area , plenty of sun loungers and a very good selection of refreshments. Prices in the hotel are much same as local bars and restaurants. Recommend the Pelin Hotel to anyone . Shuttle bus (speedy) took just 45 mins.from Dalaman. I don't go home for another week, just had to write this now !

Just come back from a 10 day trip to Hotel Pelin. I can see why it is 3 star as there are some lovely things about the hotel, but also some not so good parts. It is quite dated but very clean and tidy. Some staff were always friendly others seemed like they were forcing smiles and were not really interested. The pool is great and no worries about sunbeds as sometimes there was only us 4 and a couple of others by the pool. The breakfast was the same every day and we ended up going out for breakfast a few times to get away from it. It advertises a play area for kids but do not go in there! Our 2 went in and it was all overgrown and our little one got stung when he sat on the swing by about 5 wasps! You cant take in drinks or food from outside of the hotel but when the price at the hotel for a small bottle of water is the same as a 1.5 litre from one of the supermarkets I think most people were bringing drinks in. The location is great as it is only a small walk to the beach and all the restaurants and shops. You have to cross a main road but it wasnt as bad as others had said. Calis Beach is lovely and we are certainly looking to book again for next year.
