After much research on Trip Advisor, I chose Haian based on the reviews, location and price.
Check in was relatively easy although the lobby was full of people and luggage when we arrived. Luckily we were able to check in early. We had the Beachfront Diamond suite, which was more spacious, although the views were unimpressive; window view of the beach being limited by the walls on one side and construction on the other side (which they were kind enough to offer dinner at their restaurant as compensation). The bed was firm but had some pillow top padding and the extra pillows helped. The sofa was oddly shaped and hard, but provided extra seating for getting take out to eat (but the TV is on the wall of the bedroom area, so you can't watch TV in the living room area). There was a closet but not much dresser drawers to put clothes in. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of counter space and the tub and shower were large enough to fit two people. The fridge, kettle and bathroom amenities (including loofah) were useful. We were able to keep the room cool enough, but the hallways were quite warm (as was most hotels in Vietnam). The most surprising thing was the noise at night. Being on the 19th floor, we could still hear the cars and scooters honking from the street despite ear plugs and playing music in the room at 10pm.
The breakfast buffet was extensive (all types of cuisines, including made to order eggs and noodles, salads, pastries, fruit, hot foods) and the quality was good. It got very busy around 8am, though, so best to get there at 6am when they start. The afternoon tea (2-4pm) was also a nice touch, with some fruit, tea cakes and coffee and tea.
We used the gym, which had a decent amount of free weights. The roof top pool was nice to cool off in while getting a view of the ocean.
Location was great, with being able to walk across the street to the beach, as well as plenty of restaurants, shops, spas and convenience stores in walking distance. Da Nang is huge and hot despite the breeze from the ocean, so getting a scooter is nice. We went through the hotel to get a scooter, but the place brought scooters that weren't in good condition and in retrospect it would've been better to go somewhere to be able to know what we were getting.
Pros: Location, spacious room and bathroom, breakfast, afternoon tea, staff (James was very attentive and offering to help). They were very thoughtful and brought a cake to our room on my husband's birthday.
Cons: very crowded in the lobby and breakfast, often had to wait for the elevators, noise at night, view from room

A friend highly recommended Haian Beach Hotel before my trip to Da Nang. So I canceled my previous booking and decided to stay at Haian for 8 nights during my two-month Southeast Asia trip. I enjoyed my time so much that I even extended my stay by 4 more days so this review will be an appreciate thank you note.
I stayed in 3 different rooms, each of which were spotless, spacious, and comfortable. I liked the high quality bed sheets, comfortable bed, all the amenities. I also liked the soundproof, I could not hear a lot of noise despite the busy location and the hotel being fully booked. The hotel is situated across the beach and this was perfect for morning or evening walks. I liked the client oriented customer service a lot. Check in was fast, once you enter someone greets you with water or afternoon tea. In all my interactions with the staff they were super professional.
A special thanks to Subeo for being so good at her job. She managed to help me with all my requests, was very calm, kind, empathetic and professional in each interaction. The hotel is really lucky to have her. Breakfast was continental and had a wide variety of food options. I can get a bit crowded at times but arriving at the right hour solved it. The pool was clean, safe and well maintained. Great service there as well, not to mention the nice view from the sky bar.
If I need to complain about something, it would be minor. They had an elevator and gym maintenance while I was visiting. The gym could use more machines and seems that the hotel is already working on this. The elevator maintenance was managed great as well, appreciated the communication and did not notice major disruptions. I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful gesture of a restaurant voucher or fruit gift as a returning guest. Small gesture but it counts a lot. In conclusion I felt like home at this hotel and it was hard to say good bye. Was a great choice and will return maybe as a couple of family one day.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Da Nang and had an overall pleasant experience. The bed in our room was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we were well-rested for our daily adventures. The highlight of our mornings was definitely the breakfast—it was one of the best we’ve had in Vietnam, offering a wide variety of delicious options.
We also enjoyed the included afternoon tea; the scones were particularly exceptional. Our room boasted an amazing view of the ocean, and the soothing sound of the waves added to the relaxing atmosphere. Although there was some construction near one of the windows, the hotel thoughtfully provided us with a spa voucher to make up for it, which we greatly appreciated.
The bathroom was spacious and featured a large bathtub that we thoroughly enjoyed. However, we wished there were more lights and decorative elements to enhance its ambiance.
On the service side, our check-in experience could have been better—the staff member assisting us seemed a bit grumpy and didn’t smile, which was a slight letdown. In contrast, Subeo, who handled our checkout, was exceptionally friendly. She inquired about any concerns we had and offered guidance on nearby attractions, which made us feel very welcome.
One suggestion for improvement would be for the staff to greet guests with a warm “hello” or “good evening” when entering the hotel, as we’ve experienced at other establishments. This small gesture could enhance the overall guest experience.
Despite a few minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for its comfort, stunning views, and excellent dining options.

Haian Beach Hotel and Spa is as the name suggests, directly opposite the beach hence no problems with the location! I arrived at the hotel at around 1pm and my room wasn't ready. It seemed very hectic all the time so if you intend to come early, I would recommend you phone ahead to check what time you will be able to access he room.
It is important to note that the hotel is right next to a building which is currently under construction, and looks like it won't be finished for some time. As such, try and get a room on the left hand side of the hotel (looking at the hotel from the front).
Whilst waiting for my room I met a very helpful gentleman by the name of Mr Long Haian who assured me the room wouldn't be long and that he would WhatsAp me once ready. Although Long was helpful, if you value your privacy, you may not wish to provide your details as I recieved quite a high number of messages from Long throughout my stay.
We stayed in a beachfront suite which was quite nice, fairly spacious with a fantastic view of the ocean. The bed was comortable and the A/C worked fine. The wifi download speed was 75.1Â Mbps and upload of 47.1 Mbps which was fine for what I needed to complete online. The bathroom had dual sinks and a seperate bath tub. When I turned on the shower, he water was leaking out of the top of the shower head causing the floor of the bathroom to get wet. The other interesting aspect and not really a biggy for me, the hotel only supplies shampoo, or what I was later told was a '2 in 1' product. Just thought it was a little odd in a 4 star hotel.
The breakfast service was OK and unfortunately, was rarely ready on time and there was always cutlery missing from the dishes. There was an egg and soup station, I tried the chicken soup however found that the chicken was quite chewy.
Overall, my stay was fine but I think that was primarily due to the location of the hotel.
There is a wide variety of acommodation in Da Nang but if the beach is important to you, then Haian may very well be an option.

Our stay at Haian Hotel was great, with the room displaying meticulous attention to detail. The facilities were of outstanding quality, surpassing expectations. The staff, especially Subeo, provided unparalleled assistance. Subeo's knowledge of local attractions and reasonably priced markets enriched our experience. She has an amiable nature and great communication skills. Subeo also coordinated seamlessly with the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service for a stress-free airport journey. Thanks a lot!

Haian Beach Hotel & Spa FO manager Mr Trung was friendly and nice. Everyone is so friendly and eager to help. They even WhatsApp me to ask if I needed any assistance. We stay in room 1517 with breakfast and high tea included for S$70/n and the room is clean and has everything we need. The location is perfect, just a road across My Khe beach. It is also a short distance to Danang airport and the hotel also provide complimentary airport transfer. The rooftop pool is a good place to relax and enjoy the sun. We will come back again.

We chose this one for its proximity and outlook of Mieke beach, and for its pool. The beach is really close. You can enjoy it just across the road. (It takes getting used to the heavy traffic and speed of crossing.)
We got up early to go to the beach, hoping to welcome the sunrise with a swim. Despite it being 5am in the morning, there are people at the front desk who lend you towels. I'm very happy with the service. You can swim for about 40 minutes and enjoy breakfast from 6pm. Breakfast is also very substantial. The content changes a little bit every day, so I never get bored.
Due to its proximity to the beach and the street, it is busy at night. However, earplugs are provided as a service, which is very helpful. The inside of the building is clean. The pool also felt good.
We also used the hotel spa. It was as satisfying as any popular spa in the city.
We exchanged as much money as we needed at the hotel. Rates are moderate but there are no fees. I exchanged only 10,000 yen for a five-day stay. Car app Grab is a must for Da Nang travel. They will be right in front of the hotel. If you pay Grab with your card, you won't have to waste cash.
We don't have any Japanese-speaking staff, but we got by. It is recommended because it is a well-balanced hotel.

Just spent eleven days at this hotel and it was one of the best hotel stays and holidays we've had. It's not the biggest hotel but they try very hard and just about everything about it is first rate. The hotel is positioned right on what I call the Da Nang beach strip which is noisy and busy but with a beautiful beach which goes for miles and you have your pick of bars, restaurants and all manner of small convenience stores.
Our room was very good, clean and we could ask for it to be serviced at any time of the day. Breakfast was always a highlight: Vietnamese hotels do the breakfast buffet very well and the Haian hotel was no exception.
Where the Haian hotel really did excel was with its dinner meals. The restaurant is where breakfast is served and the dinner menu is superb and each meal we had was tasty, Vietnamese in style and well presented. The hotel would do well to hold onto their present chefs and their wait staff. Always good to see a smiling face welcome you to the restaurant
The one area that the hotel could improve upon is the rooftop bar. The bar area itself is not air conditioned and it is oppressive to sit there and try to enjoy a night cap or cocktail.
Finally, the real strength of the hotel is its staff. I know every hotel trains its staff to be cordial but the Haian staff actually appear to mean it. Every staff member you meet gives you a Xin Chao and we couldn't leave or enter the hotel without a hello and or a chat.
Although all staff were very pleasant we dealt often with Tran Trung and Subeo. They were extra attentive and made sure everything was going fine. Two very capable staff members and I hope you meet them some day. When we checked out we sat in the lounge area and Subeo brought the wireless eftpos machine with her so we didn't have to stand at the reception counter. She also brought the General manager with her and there was a pleasant chat and hand shaking and Subeo even gave my partner a hug. Vietnam has really changed.
Anyway this is along winded way to say we really enjoyed this hotel and we will be back in 2025

We stayed in the family 2 bedroom penthouse. We had a party of mom, dad and 4 kids: 6,5,2 years old and 11 months. We are so glad we booked the bigger room!! One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in, in a very long time. Staff went above and beyond. It was like we were family. They would hold our infant so we could eat. You could tell they just love babies here! Very family friendly- makes us want to move here. What a wonderful stay!!!
Location is perfect!! Not only do you have a beach view but you grab towels on the way out. One minute walk to the beach!
It rained a little, but did not stop us from having fun! We used kids club and loved it.
Christmas decorations were so much fun. They were on every floor and we thoroughly enjoyed taking pictures at each level in the hotel.
We were treated like royalty. We were allowed to bring breakfast buffet to our kids who could stay in the room and watch TV- one of the littles got a stomach virus so the ability to stay in the room was vital!
They had high tea in the afternoon, which was absolutely fantastic for a pick-me-up.

Very hectic at check-in. We were there at 1:30 p.m. and were told we had to wait until 2 p.m. This is understandable in itself, since check-in is only from 2 p.m., but I was surprised that we were contacted in advance to inform them of the check-in time. After waiting until 2 p.m. I asked again. Then we were told we had to wait about another 10 minutes. At 2:20 p.m. we were finally able to go to our room. In my opinion, this is poor service for a 4-star hotel. The beach is right across from the hotel. There are enough spaces there. We rented bikes from the hotel. We didn't have to reserve in advance, we just let them know at the time and the bikes were prepared immediately. The infinity pool is nice in itself, but there are only 4 loungers there. For the rest there are sofas. So unfortunately not ideal for sunbathing. Our rooms were not cleaned until around 2 p.m. in the afternoon. Sometimes the floor wasn't vacuumed at all because there was still sand from the day before on the floor. Last time they also forgot to put down small towels. We went out to eat once in the morning around 8:00 a.m. At first it was difficult to find a free spot. Then the previous guest's things had to be cleared away. The staff couldn't keep up with clearing up. Instead of replacing everything, they simply put the previous guest's "clean" fork back down. The buffet was accordingly very busy. A chef was just cleaning up the toaster at that time and put already toasted bread that guests had left behind back with the fresh bread. Accordingly, the breakfast was no more than OK, the selection was OK too. When checking out, we had to wait another 10 minutes until they had checked whether everything was OK with the room. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it at all.

They do offer a free service but only at set times (about 4 times a day)
You are right like all companies in Vietnam WhatsApp is the preferred communication method
There is a private message parlor. If your guess stays overnight with you, she/he must have a Passport or a National ID Card (for Vietnamese national).
There are more places to choose from in the Da Nang area.
