The staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly. The fishing was good for tiger fish fished and many fish between 5 and 10 lbs were caught by all guests. I fished with fly and this was productive. The boats provided for fishing are ideal and the guides knowledgeable and will do as requested. The food was simply and tasty. Ever...

A friend, Ivor Jones and I visited Shackletons from 9th-14th November 2015. I have stayed at many fishing lodges throughout Africa, and personally managed a lodge in Mexico, but this lodge was absolutely amazing!! The Managers, Dave & Tammy could not do enough for us.They are incredible hosts and I sincerely hope that they will be there when we go...

Dave and Tammy are the best hosts you will find. They are helpful and friendly and made us all feel very welcome at the lodge. The fishing was very good with guests landing tiger fish over 9kgs !!! The guides are knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly. Serious fishermen should consider taking their own fishing tackle. A spinning rod and...

We spent 4 days at the magnificent Shackletons Tiger-fishing Lodge on a recent fishing safari. This has to rate as one of my new favourites and I will certainly be returning. The accommodation is well suited to those looking for a bit of luxury, combined with the closeness of nature. All rooms are spread across the bank of the Zambezi...

After many recommendations from fellow fishermen, a group of 10 lads visited this famous fishing spot. Whilst Howard (owner) wasn't there for our stay, we were highly impressed by Dave and Tammy who stepped in and ran the lodge for the four days. Nothing was too much effort for them. Pros: Main lodge is well laid out, neat and spacious...

My husband and I stayed at this remote fishing lodge so that he could catch tiger fish on the fly. We were welcomed by the owner and the staff were helpful and friendly. Electricity is only on for 3 hours at night, but the food for breakfast and dinner is great. Hot water for showers always available: water is heated...

If you are looking for BIG tiger fish, then this is the spot. I caught an 8kg, and my mates had similar sizes. Food is exceptional! They run on a generator between 11am - 12pm and 6pm - 9:30pm, otherwise there is no power, but you hardly notice this fact. 2 hour transfer from Livingston through some scenic country side....
