This resort has an old world elegance set in a charming location supported by a group of people who will make you feel at home. There is the more contemporary Anantara up the road, but I prefer old world character when visiting world heritage sites. I must hat tip Conde Nast for pointing me in this Lodge’s direction. Our room...

Lovely, picturesque lodge near Victoria falls. Lodge is set along river and among tress with laws and beautiful landscaping. Veranda and patio over looking river with views of birds, boats, elephant crossings. Rooms have deck with river view, shutters to keep out heat and sun, mosquito netting over beds, great bath and shower with plenty of hot water. Many vervet...

The lodge is located in the park with great views on the Zambezi. The pool is great to watch the sunset from. The rooms are comfortable with AC working well (not very typical for many other places in Zambia). The restaurant offers nice views, Dinner buffet offered, but on certain days there is no alternative to order from the menu....

The hotel and the amenities are great but a lot of work still needs to be done to train some of the staff in hospitality as well as some of the management of staff. There were a few incidences of gusts of strong winds which took toll on the umbrellas and could pose a risk to people sheltering below them.

We flew all the way from Vancouver, 21 hours of flying plus 10 hours of transfers = two very tired people! The driver who met us was fantastic. We had a VERY long immigration line to wait in and he was very patient and sympathetic. Water was provided in the car, nice airconditioning. He gave us a history of the...

The greeting was fabulous. Such friendly, happy attentive service. The location is superb, our room looked out on the Zambezi. The room was spacious, well appointed, clean, well maintained. The service was excellent. The grounds are immaculate. The restaurant and bar first class. Food excellent. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the quality of their hospitality.

Arrival: On arrival we were greeted at the airport by the shuttle. The driver was extremely friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. We arrived at the hotel to a traditional welcome where we washed our hands, were given a cold drink, and a quick snack at reception as we signed in. A porter escorted us to our room after...

The place, the staff, the activities...very clean and organized...very nice place to visit. 😍I'd make it my annual destination. Be sure to pick the room facing the river and keep your balcony doors closed during the day as you may just be visited by monkeys
