The room (511) was large, modern and comfortable, excellent shower. Breakfast was very elaborate. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is located across the street from a school. Each morning (except Fridays) at 8.00 they will scream the national anthem, supported by distorted music. Luckily, we would already be awake, due to the announcements and singing of the...

Golden Tulip is centrally located in Aqaba. This is the only positive thing to mention over this place. I was dissappointed on several occassions. First I have paid 20% more on the rate when I have made reservation. I was charged 10% for the service, which is not available at Golden Tulip at all. Finally the Reception has called me...

The reviews for this hotel are mixed because the rooms are mixed. In our group of 18 people some had an ok room (and the beds are good, the linen is clean, the towels are fine) but others had dirty floors, oozing sewage and a single small window 8 feet above the floor. They refused to move people in the...

This pleasant and friendly hotel coped smoothly with my request for an upgrade to a single room, which was charged at a reasonable USD14 per night. For those who want to eat out, a range of fish and pizza Restaurants are available across the street. The hotel also proved a good vantage point for watching an Army parade and air...

This hotel is a disgusting disappointment if one ventures beyond the lobby. There is a bland bar, a noisy parrot and gracious reception staff. Then things really go downhill. My room was a disaster: the toilet leaked so the floor was awash, the bath & shower were sickeningly dirty ( unusably so, ) the walls were a disgrace, no plugs...

Not sure why they claim 4 star - a bit distracting as it does represent good value for a 3 star and it meets my expectations as such. Great location as very close to the Marina and shops. Service is efficient and welcoming. Rooms clean. Worth a price comparison.

For a four star hotel this was a disappointment. Only one lift working, a dirty pool full of toilet paper and other detritus, and three floors currently a building site. Wouldn't be inclined to stay again!

We went there on high season because there were no other available hotels. Bad smells were going out of the bathroom, and the staff said theres nothing they can do about it, and no other available rooms. Bathroom was dirty as hell, towels were dirty, sink was broken. Bed sheets and pillow covers were dirty too .. shades and curtains...

First of all, it's ranked a 4 star hotel but it's actually a one star garbage. It's not worth a penny, the staff aren't cooperative at all, the rooms are unclean, the toilets are unhygienic at all. The hotel itself is old. The pool was dirty and unready they told us to go to another hotel across the street. Yes,...
