The hotel is well situated across from a convenience store and exit no. 1 to Chikusa subway, which connects to both JR Chuo line and Higashiyama line. Whilst the hotel is known for weddings, and an established hotel offering only a restaurant, it lacks in other areas of convenience and upkeep. The vending machine in the lobby was out of service, with the next being located outside of the hotel in the parking lot along with the designated smoking area. From the offset, it is aged, and whilst the lobby seems to be kept clean, the western standard smoking room on the 5th floor was shabby, with many signs of wear and tear, stains, and in need of a renewal. In comparison with other hotels of the same level, this hotel is sub-par with the rooms requiring an upgrade. Inside the room, a complimentary bottle of water is provided. The old desk had one inbuilt power outlet in a position not practical for laptop chargers. Everything is rundown with visible markings from the furnishings, walls and carpets, to the toilet-shower unit. The wifi was not working, so the front desk staff changed me to the next room where connectivity was working, but the condition was identical. The room windows cannot be opened, and whilst the temperature of air conditioning can be changed, the room becomes unpleasantly stuffy and dry, especially in the winter season. Surprisingly, for a smoking room, it does not have an air purifier/humidifier unit which is an inexpensive yet effective method to improve the air condition. In its current state, I can’t imagine holding a wedding and inviting guests to stay. Overall, this hotel has potential with renovation, but until then, I would not stay here again.

We are traveling with our 3 yr old for business. Despair of identifying ourself, they were not able to recognized us with the rest of the group. They charge us for the room despoil of the room being prepaid. Next day, after a long day with my son, requested the key, they requested my credit card to credited extra charges. Three people were trying to figure out how much to credit me. They credited me twice and they were in process of charging me. My son start crying and as frustrated for waiting there for over 20 minutes. They all started to laugh. I grabbed the credit card and walked away. The rooms are completely run down. Clean but carpet has a lot of extremely dirty spots. It looks great from outside and the lobby.

I always try to use this hotel when I go to Nagoya. A little bit far from major train station, but walking distance from metro or local train station. Very convenient from the center of a city. Not expensive and reasonable space in room. Convenient store is located cross the street. Staffs are all friendly. Room is clean.

I was originally booked at the Marriott, but my team asked me to move here as our conference was in this hotel conference center. The hotel lobby is nice and look modern. The room was bad. The bed is so bad is like sleeping on hard concrete floor. The pillow is a piece of brick. They have no iron and board so I tried to figure out how to call the fiend desk, but there is nothing in the room tell me how to reach house keeping in English. I used google translator to translate some Japanese writing on the phone to learn that I need to dial 7 to call front desk. They still use regular key to access the room. Very old style. The breakfast was not good compared to the Marriott one I had the day early in Tokyo. Most likely will not stay here again.

The service at check in was very good. The facility at ground level was clean and gorgeous. We stayed at level 6 where I believe all non-smoking room. The corridor here smelled very bad like some old man’s body malodor fixed in the carpet. The twin room was spacious to the Japanese standard, clean and no smell. But the air conditioner didn’t have temperature control at each room. We only controlled the blower speed and on or off. Not a nice experience at the price.

I was booked in this hotel by the Japanese host. I was given a very small room, bad air, one can smell cigarette smoke (although it was a nonsmoking room), terribly dirty carpet and bed side. The bed is very uncomfortable and the pillow so hard I could not sleep a lot, in combination with the jet lag. I did not enjoy my stay there although there were some positive things as friendly staff, ok breakfast and dinner, very close to the subway. I do not think I will book this hotel myself.

I give it an average rating because hotels in Japan are generally poor and the room rate was relatively cheap; otherwise, it deserves a lower rating. The carpets in the room and in the corridors were probably last cleaned many years ago - huge stains, sweaty look, and odors everywhere. The air quality in the room was awful to the point of affecting sleep quality - they have an air freshener in the closet but it can't do much. The room was as basic as basic can get. Breakfast and lunch buffets were OK - nothing much but adequate. The hotel staff was also adequate. Overall, pay a bit more and stay at a better hotel - this is not a good deal for the (relatively low) price.

Mum and I joined a group tour to Japan. We are not smokers but were given this terribly smelly room tonight. The cigarette smell saturated every piece of furniture and fabric in the room, it was unbearable because I am allergic to dust and pollutants. I approached a young hotel staff who couldn't understand much English regarding this issue, he told me there is a bottle of air freshener in the wardrobe. I sprayed all over the room three times in 90 minutes to no effect. Out of desperation I asked the same hotel staff about getting either a non-smoker's room or a more effective air freshener. To my reque to get a non-smoking room, his young face turned frosty and told me in clear English: "No! No room." Any possibility to get a stronger air freshener? He answered with a deadpan voice: "You spray [the air freshner], [it is] in the closet." I had no choice but went back to the stinky room, kept the room door opened for a few hours and turned the air con to the highest fan, hoping my elderly mother and I can sleep well tonight. Apart from this issue, the fridge in the room is switched off; I found a piece of nori stuck on the carpet in the middle of the room; there are cups and saucers but no tea, no coffee, no creamer, no stirers or spoons; very small pillows. You can tell they do cut corners. The good side: free Wi-Fi, grand exterior, some restaurants nearby and it is quiet because they don't have that many people here (and they told me they have no non-smoking room?). Honestly, I still won't recommend this hotel due to the lack of service.

Take the subway or train to Chikusa station and take exit no 1 at the subway station. The hotel is just across the subway station and there is a 7-11 shop beside the station. This place is recommended if you dont mind take the train/subway to Sakae station which is a few stops away. I chose to stay at this hotel because it is near to the subway station with a reasonable room rate. Hotels near Sakae station is a bit expensive for me. Free wifi in the room. The room is a bit larger compared to the usual rooms in Japan. Cosy bed and suitable bathroom size. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Nothing to complain about this hotel.
