It took us about 15min by foot but 30mins with luggages. Pro : Free breakfast was simple but delicious Free drinks from afternoon to midnight Many facilities for lent, from iron to air purifier Con: Semi-double was too small for 2, not much space. Staff didn't speak English however they were polite and tried to help.

Not suitable for business traveller, unless you want to be washing your own underwear and socks. This hotel has a laundry service but only for limited items. For underwear, socks and other items not on the laundry list, you are directed to the laundromat on the 14th floor.

Not the closest to the train station but I would still say it's OK on foot. For their price you pay, you get free breakfast. Late at night, they will open the restaurant if you want to drink some hot drinks, free of charge. Rooms are typical japense rooms. Despite close to train station, not noisy at all

This is a typical hotel in japan for around $80 (aus) a night. The reception is well run. The rooms are very clean. it has all the conveniences you need. the rooms are on the small side but thats pretty normal. The double bed is against the wall so climbing over may be required. The breakfast is really value for money and the tram stops right out the front door. make sure you see the castle. probably the best in japan especially for the elderly. see my review

It is not far from Nagoya station, about 7 mins walk. Room size is quite small, not recommend for those travel with big luggage. A short stay with small bag is an ideal. Breakfast is so so, if you book room without breakfast, don't worry as you can actually buy staff from Mini Shop or a family mart nearby.

First, be aware that there are several Meitetsu Inns nearby: this is the one on Meieki Dori. Second, yes, these are compact rooms for business travelers. Other comparable business hotels are considerably pricier and offer poorer quality breakfast. Meitetsu has a large breakfast room, the variety of [mostly Japanese] foods on offer was exceptional for the price. The staff was very considerate. I would stay here again. With available discounts, this is a great value. If you need the space, pay a little extra for the twin room.

If you are looking for a budget hotel in Nagoya,Japan, the best place to recommend is Meitetsu Inn Nagoya. A typical Japanese room, very clean and all bed sheet and towels are all brand new. Very accessible to train station for about 7 minutes and a 10 minutes walk to Central Nagoya station where you will find central bus and train stations and big malls.

The hotels is reasonably close to the train station; about a 10 minute walk on wide sidewalks. The staff at check in are very polite, and at least one of them will speak English. It appears to be an economy business hotel. Many of the rooms are quite small, with only one bed, apparently meant for Japanese businessmen. We booked a room with two beds, and found, via the evacuation map, that the corner rooms are the largest. If you have luggage, you may wish to book the two bed room simply for the extra space. There is a convenience store just down from the hotel, and another across the street. The breakfast is a bit on the funky side for a westerner. It is a big room with several tables running lengthwise, with a table against the far wall; kind of like a cafeteria. It is a Japanese style breakfast, yet I was able to find an adequate number of western items. The Chinese wife had a better time of it. The staff in the breakfast area were quite friendly, so it was overall a pleasant experience. One interesting aspect of the hotel is the bathroom. As seen in the pictures, it is an interesting Japanese approach, as the whole room can be called a bathing room. You see a bathtub, a plastic stool for those who enjoy that form, and the shower plays into the whole room. The door is watertight, and the drainage is good, so you shower without the confines we have in the West. The wife was confused by this layout until I realized that it was a bathing room unto itself, and the toilet and sink are elsewhere. Housekeeping was very efficient, and the rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable; we both enjoyed good sleep, and the hotel was both economical and conveniently located. I don't see why we wouldn't stay here again if ever we find ourselves in Nagoya. Just book the two bed room, even if traveling alone.

This hotel is convenient to get to and from Nagoya Station. Being there in the summer, it was very hot, so it was nice to have an underground passage to walk in to get to the station (the underground walkway has an entrance/exit across the street from the hotel). The room was small as expected, but clean and decorated nicely. They provide free coffee, tea, and soup from noon until midnight, which was good. The only negative thing was the breakfast that is provided as part of the room deal. I went down three times, and it was so full of people that I could not get a seat. Also, guests were filling drink bottles, so it was difficult even to get a drink. The food looked pretty standard fare – bulk sausages, salad, and buns, pre-made scrambled eggs, and rice. It would have been fine if I could have had a seat, but it was definitely not worth waiting for. I ended up going to Starbucks and buying something instead. Other than breakfast, I was happy with this hotel, so would stay there again if need in a place close to Nagoya Station that is reasonably priced.
