Hotel is 5-8 mins. walk to Nagoya JR Station, another 3-5 mins. walk to Nagoya subway station, which could still be considered convenient without luggage, as part of the way is in the open on uneven pavement. Average hotel with lobby on 2nd floor and two 7-11 stores in the same intersection. Staff service varied with persons, mostly courteous with few exceptions.
We stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of our trip to Japan in February 2020. It's a walking distance from Nagoya station (Shinkansen exits) and there are a lot of eateries nearby. There is also a convenient store (7-eleven) on the ground floor and connected to the hotel. The lobby is located on the 2nd floor and the layout is pretty modern. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The room we stayed was not too big but bigger than the average. It had a double bed and a big TV screen. The bathroom was pretty modern with a shower section and a bath tub. So, basically you could clean your body before jumping into the bath tub. Overall, it was a good stay and we surely will be back to this hotel for our next trip to Nagoya.
The walk is min 10mins from train station. hotel lobby is at level 2 and front door is facing main road. goggle map will make you ended up going through back door. staff can speak english but limited. service is normal and not speedy. hotel room is card access and also lift access to upper floor. Room is consider big for superior single. spacious and the bed is comfy. towel is in good condition and not worn out. shower is separated by glass door for a dry vs wet area. bath tub is available as well. overall impression is good.
We booked non-smoking room from Agoda. When we arrived the receptionist told us that we have instead reserved a smoking room. We showed them our booking confirmation form which clearly indicated a non-smoking room. She seek help from another staff. Another staff came by and look at her screen and make a phone call. She then told us that our agent (Agoda) has reserve a smoking room with their local agent (JTB). So I asked her if she has a non smoking room available. She said Yes but we need to pay a upgrade fee for a corner room. (same room size, just corner room). Or else she will allocate us a smoking room. I explained to her it is not our fault so we should not be asked to pay additional fee. She blantly replied "This is YOUR problem NOT Our problem". I was stunned by her replied. This is the first time I heard such uncharacteristic reply from a Hotel staff especially in Japan. Daiwa is reputable chain hotels in Japan and I am disappointed to get such treatment from their staff, likely a senior staff. …
Location : head towards Taiko exit and towards Wendy's, the hotel is around the hotel. Nagoya Station itself could be tricky but just head towards the JR line and you'd see the Taiko exit (turn left after exiting, then turn right and you'd see Wendy's, go straight turn left). Check in was swift, although the receptionist seems sullen (Wang, I think). Hotel had a good earth conservation project in which if you request for your rooms not to be made up, you'd get a complimentary mask. And coffee/tea sachets provided upon check in. Room was amazingly bigger than expected (room 1205), maybe because it was a corner room. Room came with trouser press machine, which is indulgent. And one of the well thought-of rooms, toilet had a knob in which you could hang your bath lily. Toilet size generous with a bath tub and somehow japanese hotels seems to have the best amenities, shower towels and the loveliest scented green tea bath amenities. Towels nice and fluffy but could do with a better scent, it doesnt smell so good despite it being changed. The curtain screen seems a lil off. The sleeping wear seems old and I dont dare wear the bedroom slippers. The bed seems uncomfortable with the indentation but surprisingly, much as it is harder than usual but I had a good night sleep here and that is quite rare for me. Overall, stars were given predominately based on the shower experience here (I could just stay here and shower all day! I've never been any cleaner!) …
We booked 2 rooms for our family of 5 and were given rooms next to each other which was very helpful. Front desk service was excellent, speaks decent Eng and always very willing to assist from giving advise to sightseeing to need for screwdrivers. Hotel is new and clean too! Very convenient to serve as a base to travel around Nagoya. Would strongly to stay here.
the hotel is abt 5-10 min away from nagoya station, stayed in a ddl bed room. size is rather decent with bathtub and shower available. comfortable stay. there’s only a 6 parking slot in the hotel but you can park in a public parking buildg opposite the hotel for a fee of 1500yen per day which is worthwhile as we parked at 7pm and departed ard 9am the next day which cost ard 2500yen if we go with the parking lot fee. there’s a 7-11 below the hotel and another one opp the hotel.
Wish had better pics but this little boutique hotel is awesome if you’re partying in Nagoya area just want a place to crash out. Got everything you need wet bar nice bathroom. Great place. I highly recommend this hotel.
Room is clean and we got a nice view of the city. There was even a massage chair in the room and hotel even offered some toys for the children plus amenities! We had no problems with the bed and we all slept like logs! Location is very near to the jr station so it’s very convenient. Breakfast spread was ok.
As per my title, the location of this hotel is fantastic. Very near to Nagoya station and both the JR line and the Kintestu lines which means very near to the shopping malls, Takashimaya, JR Tower etc. Also lots of eateries near the hotel with a Denny's right next door. Big 7-11s and also an Aeon supermarket down the road. A few steps away from the hotel, there are lots of underground pass that says "Esta". This brings you to another avenue of more food options and also some underground shopping! Room wise, a little tight when you need to open up luggages but other than that, I still had a good night's sleep. Pillows were a bit hard so for travellers who like soft pillows, you may need to request them from the front desk. Good size bathroom with separate tub and shower in a cubicle. I've always liked the Japanese style bathrooms. I have to give my sincere thanks to Lee who works on the Front Desk. She practically saved my dad's life when he fell ill....she went beyond her duty to bring me to the doctor, and was my translator and even brought me to the pharmacy to get the medication after her shift ended. Without her, I would have been totally lost and I'm truly grateful and thankful. And I hope the GM of the hotel recognises her professionalism. …
