Located in Nagoya, one of Japan’s three major cities, Global Gate is arising as a new nexus of international exchange. Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower is the only hotel offering views of the Nagoya skyscrapers from its high location on the 31st-36th floors of Global Gate. The hotel is designed around the concept of “a ship floating in the sky,” with the ground floor as the “point of embarkation” from which visitors “board” onto the 31st floor and finally proceed to their “cabins” on the 32nd-36th floors. 170 meters above the ground, the 170 guest rooms offer incredible panoramic views in all directions, and the hotel buffet features “Nagoya-Meshi,” Nagoya’s local cuisine, as well as other dishes, made with fresh ingredients sourced from Japan’s Tokai region, home to the famous Mt. Fuji. Experience relaxing comfort and hospitality in this hotel in the sky.

A very clean & decent hotel. We stayed at the Sky Twin Room with breathtaking view of Nagoya city. The hotel staff was very efficient and helped pick up our laundry at late evening and soon returned the article to us the next morning!

Stayed at corner suite room at the top floor of Nagoya station view. Good room, pla-rail plan was good for the kids, lounge service was great and staff members were so kind but dinner was miserable. Room ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Staff ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Location ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Meal ⭐️ Total 3.5

Room Tip: One station away from Nagoya. Many shops are in the same area so no issues to be to get drinks...

This hotel lives up to its reputation for having really good views. Rooms are located from floor 32 and this hotel is the only tall building in the vincity which allows all rooms to have a beautiful view of the Nagoya city. It is particularly beautiful at night. The rooms have a window seat which allows you to lean back and enjoy a cuppa while enjoying the view. The hotel room is very spacious by Japanese standards. even with large luggages we had ample room to relax. Space is a real luxury in this country. Everything in the room gives you a sense of new and cleanliness. They also provide you with bath salts for those of you who walks a lot during the day to explore the country. We noticed two downsides of this hotel. (1) The hotel is 20 mins walk from the main Nagoya station. However, if you take the subway to Sasashima-Raibu (1 stop from Nagoya on the Aonami Line (the one going to Legoland), it is actually right there next to the station. (2) There are only 2 small lifts that services the all the hotel rooms. In the morning when tours check out, you could wait for a while to get a lift.

This hotel gave us a service that was just average in comparison to the hotels we stayed in Kyoto and Osaka. They did not greet us as we leave or gave us the smiles as we checked in. Perhaps we were too pampered by the previous hotels we stayed before this one. Or it is perhaps because this is an industrial city with more serious people and a different culture. But the difference felt by tourists like us was a sharp contrast.

All hotels in Japan are clean, give good service and have good facilities. The tricky points of hotel selection in Japan are room size and location. The rooms were of a decent size and the location was good. Service was excellent.

Am attracted by the overlooking view from the room when I booked the room for one night. Though it is 15 mins walk from Nagoya JR station, it is worth it. Room is big and clean, the day and night view are really attractive. Even the view from the public toilet near reception, my first time seeing a toilet with such a good view :). As our stay is close to Halloween, the hotel had prepared a room with decoration for tourists to take photos.

We were really enjoying our stay at the Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower. The hotel was very well situated with shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a very comfortable few days. But ….. On the last day of our booked accommodation, a Typhoon struck the island of Honshu and as a result, all means of transport out of Nagoya was cancelled. As we could not leave to move to another area of Japan as planned, we asked if we could extend our stay for two more nights until the trains were running again. We were travelling with friends so we asked for our two hotel rooms to be extended. The hotel agreed for us to remain in our rooms for another two nights. However they then calculated a rate for the two nights which was well in excess of the cost of our three previous nights - charging approx. two and a half times more per night! It is very disappointing that the response to their customers being caught in a very difficult situation, caused by a severe weather condition, the hotel took the opportunity to exploit the situation and charge such a high rate, knowing that we had no choice but to pay.

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a very pleasant stay at the hotel.. Rooms are beautiful with a great view and service is great. The buffet breakfast is defenitely worth it. We also had the buffet dinner once, which was really nice. Note - you have to go up the lift to the top floor for hotel reception.. This can be slightly confusing when you initially arrive. (Just follow the signage). We will defenitely return as it's a fantastic hotel. Should be 5 star. Thank you.

OK, so 1 star is a bit harsh, but it is so you will read the comment. The rooms are noisy, if that gets to you, stay somewhere else. It isn't just one, it is all of them. Despite being 30 floors up, the sound from the passing trains ranges from audible to louder than watching the rugby on TV. Breakfast is a major disappointment, not cheap, and surprisingly limited selection with no decent coffee. Basically, your paying for the views, which are spectacular, but just go up to the lobby, visit the lavatory and then leave, saving yourself lots of money and a difficult night's sleep.
