It is a good choice of hotel if travelling during rush hours is unavoidable. Walking to Nagoya station is not too far so staying here helps avoid using the subway. Good breakfast, good staff, good room.
I have lost count of how many Toyoko Inns I've stayed in, but so far none has let me down. This branch at Nagoya lives up to the Toyoko standard- convenient, clean and cheap. It is about 2 min walk from Exit 6 of Unimall, the underground mall that is linked to the JR station. It is about 10 min walk to the Meitetsu station (for the airport trains). Rooms are comfortable, clean and rather standard. It has all the basic amenities provided, including free in-room wifi. Breakfast was better than the usual Toyoko standard- some delicious grilled fish was offered, in addition to the usual onigiri and miso soup.
I booked this branch of Toyoko inn for my family trip to Japan. Our port of entry and exit is Nagoya, so I booked our first night and our last two nights here. The location is not that near from Nagoya central station, it would take roughly 10 minutes walk and this is quite a long walk if you are dragging heavy luggage. The rooms are typically cozy and very clean. Wifi signal is pretty good. if you avail of the eco plan for two nights stay or more, you get additional savings of Yen 300 per room starting the second night. No cleaning and no making of bed will be provided but new clean towels will be available right at your door the following days. The room rate are quite cheaper compared to other hotels offering free breakfast. The buffet breakfast is typically Japanese quick breakfast with options for breads and butter with coffee. It is recommend that you apply for membership to avail of further discounts. The one time membership is yen1500 and the new card will be available by morning.. This allows you to reserve rooms 6 months before your travel dates.…
I went to the hotel in April 2015. Staffs are very kind and friendly. They advise everything. Hotel is close to JR station and Subway. The room is very clean and comfortable. We love it! and will stay again when go to Japan. ^___^
I liked: location - close to Nagoya train station and restaurants. Prominent hotel sign at the top of the building, air conditioning worked well as did bathroom & free wifi. Would have liked: place to put suitcase other than under the bed, softer bed and pillow case.
This hotel is nagoya is conveniently located in a nice area near the station. The superior double room was very very small but functional and clean. The wifi worked well. We didn't use the free breakfast as even though we arrived when it begun at 7am there was already a huge queue and we were in a rush for our plane. It is a decent place to stay but nothing special.
Short walk from Nagoya station and multiple eating and drinking options. Clean and comfortable like most Japanese hotels. Have laundry facilities and free Japanese breakfast which was yum if you like eating seaweed rice and miso soup in the morning :)
I stayed at this hotel for two nights and intended to visit outside but nearby Nagoya by Kintetsu. It's a good choice to move from/to other places. There are lots of pubs, eateries and KTV on my way from Nagoya Station to the hotel. I am surprised to find some more better breakfast choices (e.g. fish) when compared with other branches under tokoyo inn.
this hotel its very convenient if you are going to take shinkansens and used Nagoya as a based for a couple of days. The chain is wonderful, it is a business hotel so do not expect noise. Clean, 100% Japanese experience. Free breakfas and internet.
This is the last accomodation of my Japan Chubu Trip. I've booked Economy Double (non-smoking) room and just stayed 1 night in Nagoya. Toyoko Inn is a business budget hotel so the room size is very small and bed size of Economy Double Room will be a bit smaller (semi-double). Of coz, i know that so no complain of this. The reason for choosing this hotel is cozy price and size of carpark. Nagoya is a modern city, it's hard to find a cozy carpark with cozy room price. This Sakuradori-guchi have over 28 car park lot that i dun afraid i have no space for parking, just 1000 yen daily park. This hotel is near Main Train Station (Nagoya), so lot of Japanese office man and ladies stayed in this hotel. Near shopping mall area (walking distance within 7 mins), lot of restauarnt (居酒屋) near hotel. Room is clean, have air-conditioner, have free breakfast (mainly japanese style). Room size is small so i cannot open my 26" luggague on the floor, i need to open it on the bed, but it's ok, just 1 night.…
