We stayed for 5 days and we ate the same breakfast everyday. The breakfast room is small so there are two days we need to wait for the table. Once we have the table, there are no food left. Also, the hotel didn’t provide the water bottle...
Thank God we booked this hotel after our hotel before in Shin Osaka. The reception can speak English (not fluent but they can understand what we were saying), they also provide black coffee/latte coffee and tea in sachets, and we can take it freely in reception desk as we like. They also provide face mask by Kose (this is a good.product) free too. The room (this is the important thing) is BIG! They also provide king size bed and if you need more pillow, you can ask the reception to bring it more. There is also laundry room, which contained washing and dryer, but not free but the charge is still acceptable to pay. In this room they provide one vending machine and microwave to heat your food. The shower room is also suitable for shower, not to.tiny but to big too. They also provided liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner, tooth brush, shaver, comb and cutton buds. For other amenities, can ask the reception. They also provided breakfast, but we choose not take room with breakfast, because near hotel is a lot of restaurant (yoshinoya, Mc Donalds, and also little place which sell pork/chicken katsu with rice, that is soooo gooddd, just side by side with Lawson minimart). The hotel's location is near everywhere, especially near the station (both subways and JR station). And if it is rainy day, you can walk around 2 mnts and go downstairs to the underground mall, connected to the station. Very easy! Definetky will comeback again to this hotel.if I go to Nagoya... Thank you Daiwa!…
Room is too small for a triple. No aircon during autumn so it's hot in small room and no windows in room can be opened. We asked for larger room through website and they agreed but they still gave us the same room on our return stay
For the middle to upper traveler this chain is the best and The Shinkansenguchi location in Nagoya meets the standards I expect... The staff was very accommodating and all this with free breakfast too. It is a short walk from the main train station, Shinkansen side..
Short walk from train station. Nice hotel fairly new looking. Comfy beds and spotlessly clean. Lovely bathroom with fantastic shower and bath. Check in was a bit long winded but staff were friendly. Plenty of places to eat in the mall at the train station and also out in the street. Not that many places though just to have a drink. Family marts and 7 Eleven near by. Spotlessly clean and good free WiFi connection
I lodged at the Daiwa Roynet Nagoya-Shinkansenguchi for a few nights during a recent business trip and it was a good experience. The hotel is modern, the rooms are a little larger than normal, the staff are friendly & helpful and it's very clean. The hotel breakfast is also quite good. The Daiwa Roynet is very centrally located in Nagoya, near the station and a busy restaurant precinct. I will stay there again on my next visit.
Lovely newish hotel near to the station in Nagoya. Room has everything you need and a bit larger than average. Really good large bed. Reasonable price for the centre of the city. Free and good Wi-fi. Good Japanese breakfast.
We didn't actually go to karaoke, but its two doors up if the mood strikes you. This hotel is immaculately clean and conveniently located to the train station. It was about a 5-10 min walk dragging a loaded suitcase. The room has everything you need, but if you fancy settling in for a night of television, you will need good Japanese language skills. Well priced and helpful staff, with a supermarket 100m away, a Family Mart downstairs, and with many restaurants within a few minutes, you can find everything you need within a short walk. Perfect for a business trip.
This was a return visit to this hotel (which is classed as a business hotel) as we stayed here when we visited Japan in 2016. We actually had two stays in the hotel as we travelled to Takayama and Matsumoto and then returned. This had the advantage we could travel light as the hotel stored our luggage whilst we were away. We find the location of the hotel excellent as it is less than a five minute walk from the Nagoya Station. This made it easy when we arrived with all our luggage as we did not need a taxi and it is an easy walk. It also makes travelling within the city or going on day trips easy as there are several train and subway lines within the station and the bus terminals are also situated within or adjoining the train station. We find the hotel a pleasant place to stay as staff are all very helpful and several speak reasonable English which makes communication easier. Rooms are clean and comfortable and although not large were a reasonable size (although on the second element of our stay our friend who was a solo traveller had a larger room than our double). Breakfast was included in our package and we found the food to be very good with a reasonable choice of Japanese dishes and some for western tastes. I hope to return to Nagoya in the future and would be again happy to stay here.…
We chose this hotel as it was decently priced as opposed to other hotels as it was a public holiday in Japan. The location of the hotel was very convenient and there were lots of restaurants around the hotel. Close walking distance to Nagoya station. The rooms were relevantly small and a bit dated but it was nice and clean. We stayed here with kids and the hotel offered slippers, toothbrush, toys and bath sponges for the kids which was extremely thoughtful. I don't think they have a lot of parking under the hotel (car elevator) as when we arrived at 9pm, parking was already full). However, there were a lot of parking facilities near the hotel and they were thoughtful enough to provide a map with information on other parking facilities.
