Located at the Nagoya train station complex with easy accessibility to shops and underground. If you are carrying heavy luggages, it may be easier to use the ground level as they may be steps in the basement. The top floor restaurant has a beautiful view of the city. However, rooms are smaller (at the expense of nice location). They may be old but clean. Pillows were good and firm, possibly contains buckwheat.
Nice room, excellent attention, ammenities at the room. The room was prepared with three beds with enough space for all the guests. Very close to the train station, it took us 2 minutes to get there, very practical when you arrive late or if you plan to leave early in the morning
Conveniently located to Nagoya train station and with direct access to underground tunnel with lots of shops and restaurants. Rooms clean but whole place a bit run down, deserving a renovation. Quite disappointing when reception staff wanted to charge extra for 1hr early check in.
- Standard hotel with the narrow area but acceptable - Good location for transportation by Meitetsu Train and Airport Bus but a little bit far from Nagoya JR Station (Recommend to find the entrance from outside the building rather than try to link between Main and Men Building of Meitetsu Department Store. - You can enjoy shopping in the supermarket in the evening with some discount (after 6 pm.) - Faster check-in time (2 pm.) when comparing with others (3 pm.)
We stayed 2 nights on the 20th. This hotel is so conveniently located that you can take a train from the airport here. It's right smack next to Nagoya train station. Friendly staff, impeccably clean room. We had a room with lovely view. Had a wonderful stay.
Rooms are dated but they are clean and spacious by Japan standard. Quiet room except for tv noise from adjacent room near our tv. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. One female staff could speak good English. Very convenient with easy access to train station with all railway lines and bus centre. Would stay here again.
The hotel is located very close to the train station. It is even connected to the underground mall that connects to the station, but there are stairs in the underground walkway so you should not try to use that if you are walking from the station with your luggage. The rooms are very old and obvious in need of a major renovation. Air conditioning is not working too so I had to open the windows. But I got a room that opens to an aisle between buildings so it's not really ideal to have to open the window.
Meitetsu Grand Hotel is situated in the same building as the bus centre, which is next to the Meitetsu train station connecting to Chubu International Airport, and a stone’s throw from Nagoya JR station, which connects to everywhere else. Although the entrance is a little obscure, the rooms are clean, spacious and have everything you need. Dining options abound, being in the great location that it is. I think it’s the best value option for a transit through Nagoya.
The Meitetsu Grand Hotel is located in the heart of Nagoya, close to the Shinkansen station. From this point it is very convenient, if you need to take a train to another destination in Japan. The hotel rooms are, as usual in Japan, small. The bed was comfortable and the whole room was clean so far. Disadvantage of the rooms are mainly, that they do not have a shower, only a bath tub where you have to take a shower. The rooms are equipped with the most necessary items you need for a short term stay. The breakfast was quite good and kind of international. They offer bread and also some jam. The rest of the breakfast was mainly japanese style. Anyway a wide variety of bread, cereals, coffee, juice and others. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. All in all the hotel was quiet, even in the city center, clean and comfortable. The rooms are bigger than other hotels I experienced in Japan. Good location when you want to explore Nagoya city center and need to take a train the next day.…
The hotel location is really good. you can take train or subway very easy for sightseeing or to airport. We stay there for 3 nights. it is also very easy for shopping and easy there. As we have child, we book a bigger twin room. enough space for baby stroll and two big suitcases.
