We are a backpackers hostel just recently opened 19 June, 2015. We have a cafe and bar on the first floor and dormitory accommodation on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. All bathrooms and toilets are communal. We also have a communal kitchen. 2nd floor is a female only floor. We have two private rooms available with two bunks in each of them. Bathrooms and toilets are shared with other guests. We all love travelling and would love to meet you!

We stayed here one night in a dorm room on the 4th floor. There were two sturdy bunk beds, a small end table, and a set of small lockers in the room. There is no elevator, so I'm glad we were travelling light with a small suitcase and a small backpack each. Each bed has an electrical outlet, a reading light, and a curtain. The beds were great! Comfortable with a duvet and extra blankets if you wanted them. Everything was very clean. The hostel is less than 10 minute walk from Nagoya station. The man working the front desk when we arrived spoke excellent English and was friendly and helpful. The hostel has free wifi. There is a bar on the first floor which appeared to be well stocked. We were tired from our long flight and didn't use the bar. You can rent a towel for 100 yen. Showers were stocked with shampoo and body wash. Everything was very clean. There is a kitchen with tables and chairs on the third floor, so you can do your own cooking or just hang out and play games. This is a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

We had a short stay and this wonderful hostel, we were lost when we arrived in the station but luckily we found it but we were tired when we arrived at the location. There are no elevator at the hostel but they would gladly help you out with your luggage. Its actually near the train station. The beds were clean and comfy and also the toilet, and we were very glad they had an english speaking receptionist! Will recommend to my friends.

When visiting the Aichi triënnale I stayed again in Nagoya global hostel, nice place with comfortable pods in the dorm and a cosy bar downstairs - with many Belgian beers. Would have loved to stay longer but everything was booked out due to a rugby game...

I stayed here late last year for two nights in a shared dorm room. The hostel is extremely clean and everything one could need is provided. I found every member of staff which I dealt with to be polite, informative and above all welcoming. The place is walking distance from JR Nagoya Station which makes things simple if arriving by train from another city as I did. The bar/café has a huge selection of beers from all over the world and a decent wine and spirits list too. I found the bar lively on both nights and the crowd was a mixture of travelers/locals - this made the hostel special. I would definitely stay here again, and I hope that I do!

Visited cafe of glocal recently. Has extensive beer menu including craft beers from various countries. Vegetarian options available as well. The place has relaxed feel around it. Though it is a bit far from nagoya station, please loving beer should give it a visit.

Stayed there for 2 days. The workers were really kind and helpfull and the facilities are new and clean. I really recommend it to people who are backpaking around Japan, who stay for one or two days in each place, this hostel (and nagoya in general) is really worth the visit!

All the staff members were nice and welcoming! The Hostel has a restaurant/cafe where a lot of locals come, too. The restaurant has an inviting interior and delicious coffee. Sometimes they have events in the restaurant/bar. If you want some more privacy there`s still a common room with a kitchen and fridge on th third floor. The bed is really comfortable! One of the best sleeps I had in a Hostel. With each bed you have a plug, a lamp and a locker (with a key). There are enough showers and toilets, which were all clean. There`s A LOT of free stuff like face cleansing, face cream, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body soap (and more)..! The location is superb, you can reach the Hostel after a 3min walk from the station. You get a map from the Hostel, on which the nearest restaurants are marked (and even with a recommended dish for each). One small thing I didn`t like: there was not enough room for the luggage in the female dorm.

Glocal hostel was a great place to stay after arriving in Nagoya on an evening flight. Check-in finishes at 23:00 which shouldn’t have been a problem for me with my flight arriving at 21:35. However, I was nervous about my flight being delayed as China Eastern is notorious for poor punctuality. Therefore I sent the hostel a message and they said that somebody would wait for me. I ended up arriving at midnight and was very pleased with this service offered! It was good for the price but it’s the helpful staff push this from 4 stars to 5 stars.

This hostel was able to check in early afternoon (2 pm) but it can help you put your luggages at the safe place too if you are planning to visit elsewhere. Friendly staffs. There is the common area to sit as well as cook stuffs. The shower room are in the common area though and it was not advisable to eat in your cabins. Lastly, the bed is so comfy that I slept for 8 hours straight. Overall it was recommended.
