Hi Tim, sorry I am unsure as we booked a room with its own bathroom and toilet. I know there were showers in the onsen areas. The onsen areas are separate for male and female but the showers are open in each area. This truly is a fantastic hotel and the rooms are massive compared to city Japan hotels!
