Very nice ryokan, centrally located 5-10 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes walk to the historic part of Takayama. Service was great, helpful and friendly staff - if's a family run place, and you feal really welcome. The room was spacious and...More
Great staff, great service, location is good and the onsen is very pleasant.

Hi Tim, sorry I am unsure as we booked a room with its own bathroom and toilet. I know there were showers in the onsen areas. The onsen areas are separate for male and female but the showers are open in each area. This truly is a fantastic hotel and the rooms are massive compared to city Japan hotels!
