Detailed Reviews
Just steps away from Shimizu JR station, this property is a good option for an overnight stay and exploring the area. Many restaurants line the path between the station and this hotel. A front desk attendant who spoke perfect English was especially helpful with our special needs.

The hotel is clean and the room we had small and dated, few outlets, air conditioning not good in adjustable and unfortunately some mold in the bathroom. The separate toilet is very small and cramped, you should not be too big. The double bed is hard and small, not very comfortable. The room is also fully equipped and is fine as a base. There is plenty to see and do in the area. Breakfast means little in Western standards. There is plenty and it is all neatly supplemented and kept up to date. The staff is nice and helpful. There are a few who speak English, but hands, feet and Google translate will get you very far. There are a number of parking spaces in front of the hotel, which can be used for a fee and not booked in advance.

Good location near the train station,
Staff are helpful but can speak little english but it wont be an issue because you can ask them to translate by google.
Had the best time in shizuoka and go to miho no mitsubara by cruise
Thankyou to the receptionist for helping us to find the port.

+1
This was quite a nice hotel but in a location that was not conducive to arrival by bus. We had to unload the bus on the main road then walk with bags about 300m to the hotel…this was fine when we arrived but rainy on departure so most members of the group got rather wet. The room was nice and was very clean with slippers supplied. The breakfast selection was also very good.

Room Tip: Shops and eating places in the vicinity shut quite early but there was a supermarket nearby.

It takes less than 5-min to JR station. The room is relatively large compared with typical japan hotel room. The toilet and bathroom are separate which is quite convenient for couple. It is clean and tidy.
However, the frontdesk staff did not have any smile or greet you. It will be perfect if the customer service can be improved

I have been travelling on Japan for many years and this is the worst hotel staff I ever meet. When checkin, the staff do not take an effort to read my reservation, do not even advise on the parking and started talking loud at me. Untill I start talking louder at him then he being nice to me. I can speak relatively good English but he think I am from China. The management should seriously look into it.

Got a very cheap deal for this place. Location is 5 mins from the JR station which you can see from the tracks. Fish market is directly opposite on the other side of the track where cheap and godly sashimi can be had. Ask for a Fuji view room, windows can be opened slightly.
Room is well designed other than the separate toilet area which can be too cramp for larger people. Bathing area is spacious with a real bath tub. Standard tea making set in the room. Breakfast is good for Japanese palette but cheap breakfast places can be found nearby.
Staff can speak basic English and will try their best to answer your questions.

Stayed 3 nights; very convenient as a base to explore. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and spoke English very well. Room was very nice and had a large shower room separate from the toilet. Nice change. Buffet breakfast was nice. Lots of shopping very close.

The hotel is really near to the train station (5mins) which is really convenient (Shuttle bus to S-Pulse Dream Plaza is there as well).
Hotel staff was friendly and able to communicate in English.
The room that we had (812) was clean and comfortable. It came with a wet and dry toilet. The bed was really comfy (we had been staying at Airbnb and the bed was an excellent relived).
Morning breakfast variety was not bad with a mixture of Japanese and Western food.
The best part is the view from the room where Mt Fuji could be seen!!! Simply amazing!!!

This hotel was very reasonably priced for the quality of room. It was a very pleasant large room from which you could see Mount Fuji. It wasn't a fabulous view but it was good enough. The value was in the quality of the room. It was more like a suite in that there was a couch and a large bathroom separate from the toilet. It was very clean and the staff were helpful. We stayed for four pleasant nights. It was well located with many shops within short walking difference and only a quick walk from Shimizu Railway Station. Shimizu Station is within 3 stops of Shizuoka railway station. Sadly for us the ferry to Izu peninsular was closed for repair. This happens in mid January each year and it spoiled our plans. SHIMIZU IS A CENTRE FOR STRAWBERRIES though, but likely you will come when the ferry is running (most of the year) and you can get a pass to visit the peninsula cheaply. For that excursion, this hotel would be a good base and is only one hour to Tokyo for about 90 USA dollars.
The bakery in the square outside the station sells beautiful fresh bread. The tourist info office in the square is helpful and we really liked Sasaka, the lady who works there and who speaks really good English

That would cost you roughly 11,000-11,500 yen. So roughly 90 pounds?
