The hotel is located in the centre of Tomonoura, a small fishing village in the Hiroshima prefecture not to far from Fukuyama. At first, and from the outside, the hotel appears to be quite ordinary, but never have we been this much mislead by a facade. When inside, the delicate appearance from the entrance to the reception area gives a...

A small town (Tomono Ura) with not much to see (a small wharf) but to spent a day to rest. The ryokan was fabulous and the room wonderful: hot tub outside overlooking the sea and the islands. Very nice room attendants and a japanese dinner with many souvenirs!

This place was recommended by my friend for a long time. So, when I decided to stay with my mother and my daughter, I was really excited with high expectations. There was a pick up spot at Fukuyama station less than 3 min walk. Driver was very quiet but friendly. Took about 20 min through narrow roads, which you can...

We were picked up at the train station and driven to the hotel on the water. We had a lovely room full of amenities. Our balcony overlooked the sea and some small islands. We had a huge wooden indoor outdoor tub filled with thermally heated water. My wife and I dressed in the traditional Japanese clothing and when to dinner....

The design of this place is fabulous, so is the location. Walk down a small alley ( they have valet parking) and through a fabulous walkway and corridor that leads to the reception area. Each room has a view of the Inland Sea, a balcony and an indoor/ outdoor bathtub. It feels very modern but done with exquisite taste. All...

It's just perfect! The small village is very beautiful and you can have fun just by strolling around, visiting the many small temples (no admission fee) and enjoying the tranquility of the place. The hotel is ryokun type, i.e. traditional Japanese style room and hospitality. The room is very spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Good ambience. They even had...

Stayed at Ochi-kochi in Tomonura for 2 nights. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a private hot tub and shower on one side with views of water. On other side was balcony with view of water. The Japanese dinner was amazing and best we had in Japan (they do serve a Western breakfast). The town of Tomonura...

This inn was a gem! It was a little offputting to come down a small alley to get to the entryway, but once inside the service was exemplary and the rooms were lovely. The view from our room over the bay to the shrine on the temple was fantastic! The private bath could be reserved whenever you wanted and it...
