We stayed in Dormy Inns before and found them quite ok. This one was as well. Fair market price for a business/tour group hotel. Excellent location very close to "old town" and Ohara Museum. Has an onsen in the hotel as well as a restaurant but we used neither. Many restaurants nearby. Easy to get to by car or train....

Located near the historical quarter, Dormy Inn is just a perfect hotel with reasonable price. Although it is inside a modern building, there is a nice onsen (hot spring bath) at the highest floor which is absolutely nice. Staffs are helpful and polite. And of course, don't miss its free Ramen when you feel hungry at night.

Dormy Inn is your standard Japanese business hotel. My rating would be above average rather than very good. As compared to other hotels on our trip it rated higher than 3 but to my mind didn't quite make 4. Rooms were a standard size and the bathrooms were fine. Cleanliness was fine on arrival and high standards were maintained over...

High standard as other Dormy Inns I stayed before in Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyushu and Hokkaido. The hotel offers great public bath, free noodles at night and free wifi. Paid breakfast is good. Paid car park is located next to the hotel. This hotel chain has been my 1st choice if I stay inside city of Japan.

Location is a good 10 minutes from station. Great restaurant across entrance of hotel. Breakfast is ok but mainly catering for Japanese guests, as it is most at the times in Japan, a small section is available for Westerners.

This was one my best hotel experience in my recent Japan trip. The location is not so close to the JR station but is still within walk-able distance. It is just across the street to the entrance of Historical Quarter. The room was decorated in very cozy manner. The hotspring was perfect for everyone. I really liked the free coffee...

The Dormy Inn in Kurashiki was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel is strict on the 3pm checkin but apart from that we really enjoyed our time there. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the station and just across the road from the Bikan historical area. There is also a Family Mart next door. The breakfast room...

Really enjoyed our stay at Dormy Inn. I was fully expecting an average 3-star place reflecting the price that we paid for. However, the hotel was amazing, with fantastic onsen facilities and free late night ramen! Everything was spotless of course. The location was also very convenient. Highly recommended.

During our last trip to Japan, we had an "expensive Saturday" still unbooked between two other hotel reservations. I had my eye on the Kurashiki Dormy Inn but the room price suddenly doubled as our date came closer (book well in advance people!!). We ended up booking something in Okayama instead, but as the price dropped a little again near...

Simple but practical modern hotel. Its main advantage is its location just across the Bikan area with its canal and renovated warehouses and village, and about 500m (10' walk) from the station. Rooms are rather "large" (~12 m2) for this type of hotel in Japan but the twin room I had had 2 beds which took almost all the space....
