I stayed for family trip (3pax) for one night. Price is reasonable but not as satisfactory as imagined. Room is small, no big bath in the facility as more and more business hotels are equipped, and the location is a bit far off from the food & entertainment area of the city. Nevertheless if you are looking for a reasonable accommodations I still recommend for consideration especially traveling solo or 2 pax.

This big hotel is located about 12-15 minutes walk away from JR Kushiro station and about 6-8 minutes walk to Kushiro Fishermen's Wharf MOO complex where there are stalls selling both cooked and fresh seafood. There is a convenience store within a short walking distance. As our room was ready before the check-in time of 2 pm, the kind front desk officer allowed us to move in early.

Our twin room was clean and fairly spacious with a separate basin outside the shower and toilet cubicle. Room furnishings are on the dated side but seem well maintained. A narrow and tall segment of the large room window can be opened for ventilation.

Wifi reception was very weak to non-existent in our room near the end of the corridor and we had to borrow a tiny router with a LAN cable from the front desk to connect to the LAN adaptor inside the room. After the connection wifi strength and speed was good.

Buffet breakfast is served early in the morning at 6 am at the hotel's highest floor with a panoramic view of Kushiro city. A wide variety of cooked food was available with cooked fresh fish the main course when we stayed there. There was also a fruit and salad bar along with corn flakes, bread, rolls and croissant along with fresh milk and yoghurt. Price of the buffet breakfast per person at the time of writing was ¥1400 per person.

A lunch buffet was also offered with a variety of food cooked mostly Chinese style and there were lots of locals coming for lunch.

Housekeeping, restaurant and front desk employees were helpful, pleasant and courteous.

In conclusion, this is a good, comfortable and reasonably priced hotel to stay in Kushiro.

I stayed for on a business for 12 nights in total.
Facility is quite outdated and room temperature is low even though setting was maximum.
Hotel kindly provided an electric heater upon my request. However, the language of the receptionist was impolite and lacking respect to the guest.
And then I wrote a letter of complaint to the manager.
He never replied until I checked out a week later.
Staff in general are polite and helpful, it is a real shame this man damaged the reputation.
I will never ever come back to this hotel.
Only good thing is skilled therapist in a refresh room.
I enjoyed her amazing treatment 3 times during my stay.

Great place to stay as we wind up our tour of East Hokkaido. Good hub to jump off from before touring Kushiro area.

Buffet breakfast offers tasty options and great service. Vending machine for midnight drinks available and Yukata refreshed daily for a good night's sleep.

Remember to close the blackout curtains if you don't want to wake up at 4am Japan Standard Time. I jumped out from bed thinking it was 10am already one time.

Thoughtful and sweet gesture from the staff with the Crane origami on my study table as a welcome gift.

Aircon seems non existent. Temperature in the room was much warmer than outside. No use adjusting as it didnt work. The hotel staffcan only open the small little window to let the cold air in. Still warm in the room. No free mineral water. There is a kettle with free satchets of tea. No coffee.

Had a relaxing stay at Kushiro Prince Hotel. The views from the upper floors looking out to the sea were spectacular especially at sunset. Easy access from Kushiro airport with a bus stop right outside the hotel. Easy walking distance to attractions nearby such as Fisherman’s Wharf, Kushiro Art Gallery and the Children’s Museum. It’s an older hotel, so the room decor is looking a bit tired in some areas. Some of the reception staff were great and the cleaners were lovely. The souvenir/convenience shop staff let down our experience of the hotel. Extremely unusual to feel like we were an inconvenience in a Japanese shop after spending about ¥15000 on souvenirs. We avoided the shop after that. Overall a good base to visit Kushiro and surrounding areas.

Had a brief overnight stay, at start of hiking holiday

Lobby is bland, rooms are compact (a little stuffy), the breakfast area on 17th floor is bright with fine views of surroundings, breakfast selection not great

There is a Massage facility on 8th floor

Unfortunately no English Channel on TV, the rooms do not provide mineral water: you need to purchase from lobby kiosk

Stayed in at least 10 accommodations across Hokkaido and this was by far the worst hotel we stayed in, and yet one of the more pricey ones.

As per the other reviewers, service could definitely be improved in this hotel. We were given a list of rules upon check in most of which could have been communicated more tactfully as other hotels did (i.e. respect for japanese culture for the use of onsens and yukatas). This already dulled our first impression of the hotel.

Hotel rooms were large and spacious and offered a view of Lake Kusshiro but beds were not comfortable and I am not sure if they actually wash the top quilt but I highly doubt it as I walked past other rooms during their cleaning and noticed that they were not taking these quilts out for washing - which made my stay even more uncomfortable.

Used the outdoor onsen and it did not appear very clean as well. Edges of the pool were rusty and overall looked very old. Small outdoor onsen offered only a view of the hotel's backyard - again not the most pleasant view.

What most annoyed me was that upon check out, i was presented with an invoice for bath tax of 300 yen. We expected this to already be part of the booking price and this was not mentioned in any of their list of rules nor terms and conditions. Highly recommend all guests at this hotel to bathe in their own rooms and not use the onsen if you have to pay an additional 300 yen.

Will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
