Stayed in one of the cheaper single rooms in the east wing. The room was small, but not the smallest that I've stayed in Japan. Bed was comfortable, and useful selection of amenities. A little too warm, with no way of cooling down (windows didn't open). My booking included breakfast, and the buffet was fantastic. Front desk staff were very... More

My first time in Hakodate and staying at the Hakodate Kokusai Hotel. Took the Hakodate Airport bus shuttle to the JR station. Cost 410 yen and took about 20 minutes. You might want to check if the shuttle may also make drop-off across the street from this hotel. A previous review mentioned when exiting the JR station looking right for... More

Location is perfect. Within walking distance from JR station, morning market & Hakodate red brick factory. We tried their breakfast spread, and it was pretty good. Room size is good, However bed is very very uncomfortable. Its very springy and poor quality (have not encounter anything like tat in other hotels in jpn).

Stayed a night, general location is right behind the port and as usual surrounded by convenient stores. Room wise is your typical Japanese hotel with a suitable sized bedroom and a smaller bathroom. Didn't explore the hotel proper but seems like there is a chapel in house and a bridal store. Would assume its popular for weddings. Tried the morning... More

This hotel is popular with tours. There is an older East Building and a newer West Building. I stayed in the older part of the hotel. Despite the fact that it is showing some signs of wear and tear, it is a well maintained hotel. The hotel staff is professional and housekeeping is outstanding. The rooms were comfortable and I... Located near the famous fish market ("asaichi"). Kind of old hotel but reasonably priced if you do not need a fancy or modern looking. Inside the room looks a bit old and dark. My room was with a view of harbor. You would not have big trouble with finding nice places for eating and drinking.

Location is great; less than a 10min walk from the morning market, the JR station and the red brick warehouses. Rooms are reasonably sized by Japan standards and clean. Parking costs ¥800 a day (up till 2pm the following day from the time you check in)

We stay there for two nights. Excellent location to various attractions in the city. Large clean rooms with excellent view of the harbour. Big car park for those who drive. Within walking distance from the JR station. Will stay again

We stayed only for one night in August but came away with very good impression. Excellent location, amazing breakfast, spacious room even in Japan, friendly staff, lovely hotel interior. We booked a triple room and it was just right for the 3 of us.
