Picked this hotel a it was very close to the station and so easy to get to while dragging bags. Also very convenient for the central Hakodate facilities and shops. The hotel was typical of city centre, budget types i.e. rooms on the smaller side, but the service, cleanliness and value for money can't be faulted plus there was a very reasonable free breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to use agin if back in Hakodate.
Great location from jr station, tram just right in front, staff is very friendly and helpful, good breakfast and complimentary drink as welcome. Will recommend those who wanna look for good and convenient location with reasonable price
Again, another very small 'double' room where one had to sleep head to toe! But the good things about this hotel were the following. Easy access to the station (walking distance), easy walking distance to the fish markets, Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse district and Hakodate Beer Hall, Mount Hakodate cable car was only a short taxi ride away and well worth the visit. View from the top amazing. We also took a boat ride around Hakodate Bay which was fun. The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful with good English spoken. Breakfast was really good in a nice comfortable setting. Laundry facilities were available with both washing machines and driers. I would recommend staying here, but maybe we should have booked a Twin room??
Small budget hotel in a great location. We had a bigger room with the two single beds and therefore we did not have any space issues. The room was bare bones but clean. There was a smell coming from the bathroom when we entered the room but is went away after starting the ventilation. Breakfast offering was weak, staff was friendly. Location is key for this hotel, it is near the JR, infront of the tram that takes you near the red brick district and the hokkaido night view. We walked back from the red brick district in about 15minutes. There is a 7/11 nearby. Good for a small layover is hakodate but I would not spend an extended amount of time at this location.
Space abit constraint. Have some difficulty opening up two luggage in the room. Other than this, everything is fine. They are having renovation in the kitchen, so bento set arrangement is made for affected guests. Very considerate of them.
It is a 3star chain hotel, provides basic comfort stay without frills. I wasnt expecting anything extraordinary since I've stayed in other comfort hotels. However, Ms Saito San went the extra mile to provide me a message for the restaurant I was planning to visit, of the kind of food I was expecting in Japanese language for the restaurant chef. She hand delivered the note to my room, without any expectations on my part. Next, she helped me carried the extra pillows and towels to my room, which in normal cases for similar standards hotels, its DIY at the reception. Her command of English was also the best amongst the various staffs in the same hotel. Kudos to a job well done! The areas for improvement are that the rooms are without air conditioning during winters, so it might get stuffy during March However, if you open the windows, it's all good! …
For the price point (around AUD $75 a night in off peak season) this hotel is very good in nearly every way. This hotel is popular with Japanese travelers. It is directly across the street from Hakodate JR station and about 3 minutes walk to the fantastic Morning Market, for a breakfast seafood donburi if you are so inclined. It is clean and compact, and as is usually the case, essential amenities and PJs are provided. We found the bed and pillows very comfortable too. It also includes a basic but very decent breakfast spread of Japanese dishes and coffee. In particular, the onigiri and sausages are surprisingly good. There is a limited bread selection and grill to toast them in. The rooms are indeed very tiny, but this is normal for this class of hotel in Japan. It is manageable for couples but friends should probably get single rooms! The only major issue we encountered was the central heating used in the hotel. It was set to heating, but it has been relatively warm for autumn. It was unbearably stuffy in the small room, and we had leave the window open overnight to let some air in. If you are a light sleeper all the noises from the station and the street may be an issue. Staff speak limited English but try to be helpful. The airport bus departs from stop 11 at Hakodate station, costs ¥450 and takes 20 minutes. One thing to note, whilst we were there, the Hakodate cable ropeway was under scheduled maintenance (Oct/early Nov) and we had to take a bus trip up there instead. …
Very good location, 5 mins walk from the Hakodate train station and bus terminal where there is a direct airport express bus to the airport too. 5 mins walk away from the morning seafood market, Hakodate Asaichi. There is also the famous Lucky Pierrot fast food chain just behind the hotel!! 1 min away. Although room is a bit small for 2 people but not a major issue for a short stay..
Stayed 2 nights on new year eve and new year and the price is slightly more expensive than normal. Location is near to the JR station and the morning market where u can go for fresh sashimi. Eateries and MacDonald 7-11 are nearby as well. There is a tram station in front of the hotel where u can take and go to Hakodate red brick and mount Hakodate. Room is small though, unable to open fully a 28’ luggage. Bathroom is really small too! But overall I find it ok for 2 person as it’s a short stay for me. Find the blanket abit dusty though. Breakfast is good! Will recommend ppl to stay due to it’s convenient location.
Nothing to shout about. It's simply a hotel with a good location. It's beside Hakodate station tram station. The room is small with a queen size bed. Clean n comfortable. Basic things u will need are there. The staff speak little English.
