good location for sight-seeing and move.hotel is new ,the room is clean and comfortable. small SPA can free use,but the bath water is too hot for Summer . they offer buffer breakfast normally, but becasue of COVID they changed it to morning set. morning set is japaness style the taste is fine but same every day, and not offer bread。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。
We were there for just one night. The hotel is a good place to be based when staying in Otaru - clean, centrally located (within walking distance to the canal and the seafood markets), friendly service. There is also an onsen, which is fine.
Room is nice and comfortable. Location is near the Otaru Canal too. Those who are driving, parking is chargeable at 1500 yen a night and you have to drive out once you check-out of the hotel that is by 11am. The have small pantry so that you can do your own laundry. Microwave and vending machine is also available at the pantry.
Unlike other reviewers, our room for 3 was tiny with really nowhere to put our luggage. Hotel is modern and bathroom was fine but we were very glad ours was a one night visit. The breakfast was good. They charge extra for parking. We liked this the least of the four hotels we stayed in in Hokkaido. The hotel’s location is pretty good and the staff friendly.
This is the best hotel I stayed during my 14 day trip in Hokkaido. It is also the most expensive but money well spent. Staff is extremely friendly and is able to speak English well. Room is a good size, and amenities were excellent. Many power points in the room. The fridge is well hidden in a wine barrel (so interesting). Parking is limited and cost Y1500 per day. We were unable to secure parking for the first day but there is a parking opposite the hotel at Y1400 per day. There is onsite onsen but we did not visit as it was crowded (we were there on a weekend). Otaru seems like a romantic getaway for couples. Hotel is within walking distance to Canal, fish market and restaurants. Location is good. Walking distance to Sakamachi Shopping St. Highly recommend it.
This hotel is located in a prime location, just steps away from the canal, harbor and shopping/eating places. Hotel room was traditional Japanese (tatami), very clean and quiet but a bit small. Had some hard time getting two luggage opened at the same time. Parking is limited but there are paid parking available nearby. The hotel will reimburse part of the parking fee. Hot spring is also available.
This is a great hotel to stay in Otaru, Hokkaido. Less than 5 minutes walk from the shopping street, nice staff and great amenities for a 3-star hotel. Providing pyjamas was the highlight for me. Hard pillow and bed is great for a good night rest. There’s a public bath on the ground floor, on second floor there’s a drink vending machine, microwave ovens and two washing and drying machines.
Hotel is situated in a great location where it is about 10 mins walking to the famous canal and shopping district. The service provided was prompt and polite. room was of decent size, nautical theme yet dainty. Only downside was the mattress and pillows were a little too hard for my liking. other than that, everything else was a thumbs up!
Well located, great for walking around Otaru Canal area. New building and facilities. English speaking, helpful staff. Complimentary coffee in the afternoon and special DIY customisable ginger syrup drink in the evening (Very enjoyable after a dip in the onsen). Onsen and restaurant can be crowded during peak hours. Onsen is switched around the next day. Variety of room types available, suitable for families.
Hotel is nicely located, about 10min walk from Otaru train station and 5 min walk to the canal and historical part of Otaru. Hotel is new. We had a superior room and size seems more roomier than I expected with a hallway area to put our luggage. Hot spring bath is available at the hotel and highly recommended. They offer a good range of refreshment after bath which is a nice touch. Staffs were helpful and got me an appointment at a local hospital for my ski injury. All in all, I would definitely come back to this hotel again if I visit Otaru.
