This Honten Ryokan is located in Narita City, a 20 minutes drive to the Narita International airport. I find this Honten the perfect location for either your first night or last night of your trip to Japan. You will experience the Japanese Ryokan experience at a good price and service. They also have the option to have a traditional breakfast,...

Do add on for the Kaiseki dinner - such great quality and value banquet not to be missed. The breakfast is also such a treat. We are small eaters and yet we finished every courses!!! The public bath facility is one of the better ones I've been to. Especially like the tatami floor and well maintained & clean bathing area....

This place is conveniently located a short ride from Narita airport and provides all the atmosphere to make you feel welcomed get you settled after the long plane ride. The food is amazing and a decent value and having a ofuro after the trip helps a great deal. As a bonus, when I woke up at five from the jet-lag,...

Wanted to settle down very quickly after landing so chose this ryokan. They will pick you up from Narita JR or Keisei train station which is accessible from airport. It was a rainy day when I landed. The ryokan itself is nicely located but I did not get to shop around as it was raining. A pity. I have my...

We had a day layover in Narita and wanted to get a taste of some Japanese culture, it certainly delivered. We got a room with dinner and breakfast included. Our flight was delayed arriving in Narita and we were concerned about missing the dinner time frame. The manager was fantastic and emailed us back right away not to worry about...

The hospitality of the ryokan was a perfect ending for our trip to Tokyo. The place is conveniently near the Narita airport, and thus offers a perfect alternative to an airport hotel. This was our first, but definitively not the last, experience of accommodating in a ryokan. The room and amenities seemed to follow exactly the description of what I...

I really did enjoy my very short (just one night) stay. But, this place isn't going to be for everyone. What I loved: friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Check in was easy, the green tea ceremony was a nice touch, check out and ordering a taxi also a breeze. The breakfast presentation in my room was also quite formal...

We are a family of 8 (6 teenage/adult children from 14yrs to 23yrs). We all loved the exposure to some Japanese culture before heading off to the snow. I chose this hotel because it was so close to the airport and directly opposite some temples and shrines which I was surprised the ski loving family really enjoyed. The surrounding village...

I stayed at the Wakamatsu Honten Ryokan in September last year and having had an excellent experience, decided to stay again when I overnighted in Narita before flying the next day to Poland. There's a good reason why this property is highly rated. First the location is a pretty short train ride by either JR or by the private rail...

We stayed at this hotel because of the location and good reviews from Trip Advisor. However our experience was not that nice. We stayed one night at this hotel. Our flight leaves at 8pm, so we planed to checkout at 10am and will leave our luggages til 5pm and go straight at the airport. At check in...there were 2 staff...
