Odakyu Station hotel is also one of the good hotel I've been with during my trip to Atsugi. Room is not as big as the other hotel I've been with but services are very good, breakfast is simple and yet so effective. Kudos to 100mbps internet speed!

This hotel is located right inside Hon Atsugi station. It is convenient for quick stays in Atsugi and only for business trips, if you want to try the very basic stay experience of a pure Japanese hotel. Do not expect instructions in English or any amenities. A small room, with an even smaller bathroom. You need to pick up accessories for the room at the reception desk when you check in. Breakfast is in a very small room, with shared tables with other guests, and pure Japanese style offering. I went to Starbucks for breakfast during my stay. Two pluses: - even if it is in the station, the rooms are quite and sleeping is fine (if you can fit in the bed) - very reliable and very fast free of charge wifi connection

On a recent 1st trip to Japan, this was the first hotel we stayed in due to its close proximity to our Japanese travelling companion. As mentioned in previous reviews, this hotel is situated within the same building as Hon-Atsugi mainline train station which made it very convenient without the trains being at all intrusive. It is also well situated for a wide range of shops within and just outside the building. A taxi rank is located just outside the hotel. Although the rooms are a little dated, ours was comfortable and by far the largest hotel room we encountered on our holiday though still small by British standards. The room was well appointed with a double bed, desk, fridge and two wardrobes (again, the only hotel we stayed in which offered this!). The bathroom was effectively a plastic module dropped into the corner of the hotel room. Although this felt a little like being in a caravan, it worked well and turned out to be typical of Japanese hotels including the all singing, all dancing electric toilet! The hotel Reception staff (located on the 5th floor from street level) were polite and courteous and were able to check us in and out in acceptable English. Note that in all Japanese hotels, you pay on arrival and need to complete a comprehensive check in process which included giving details of your travel itinerary. We missed the breakfast on the first day due to oversleeping (and the 9 hours time difference!) but breakfast on the 2nd day, although simple, was tasty and included cereals, pastries, coffee and the usual continental ham and cheese etc. Typical Japanese breakfast food is also available as is a selection of fruit juices from a machine. The Wifi in the room was good and there was also a publically accessible computer in a small lobby next to the Reception. As a 1st stop hotel and only wanting to be in the area for a couple of days whilst we got our bearings, we were very impressed and would most definitely return if in the vicinity, particularly as the hotel has self-service laundry facilities available.

As a business hotel, Odakyu Hon Atsugi Station offers value added services. Rooms are slightly bigger than average, price is very competitive with free breakfast (even if only bread, butter, rice rolls and salad every morning) It has a laundromat near the front desk. Location is very convenient, on top of Hon Atsugi train station, with a supermarket and Department store at the same building. Eateries are minutes away on foot. 50 minutes by Odakyu line express train to Shinjuku.

In the same complex as the Hon Atsugi station. You can't get a better more centrally located location. Main entrance is the SOUTH side or back side of the train station. Looks like this place was recently updated. We reserved the larger room. While the cost is approximately 50 percent higher than the regular size rooms, it is worth it if you are a westerner. There is actually enough room to move around and the bed size was a true queen size. We were amazed at how quiet the room was. Not a sound. Considering that this is he noisiest hub of the city, we were very pleased. Parking: They have "on site" parking but their definition of "on site" parking is a good two blocks away. It is the closest public parking lot however in the rain, it was a pain. If you want to drop off luggage, you can do so at the taxi stand area in front. The sign says "short parking is allowed". Free massage chair room. There is a free massage room, separated by gender. You get key access to a private area where there are multiple massage chairs. This was very popular place in the evenings. Breakfast: It is included in the price of the stay. That is the only thing positive I can say about the meal. Instant miso soup, instant coffee, fried rice balls, cabbage salad.... Glad it was free.

#Good location Even I went a Hotel at night, I could find easy because hotel is upper level of Hon-Atsugi station. I used limuzine bus from Haneda airprot to hotel, busstop to hotel is not very far, around 100~200 meter and across station and other side has door to hotel. #Massage chair Room is small but it's okay for business trip and has massage chair(free of charge) makes more relax.

Location - Just above Hon-Atsugi station. And if your room faces the station, you will hear a little sound from the station. Once you come out of the hotel/station, there are plenty of shops, restaurants, gaming zones, pub, convenience stores, super markets, bus terminus and in short everything. Coming to front desk, people are quite polite as is the case in almost every part of Japan but are equipped only with basic knowledge in English. As long as you're on your own and don't expect much information from them, then there shouldn't be much of a trouble. Coming to the room, it is quite small and so is the bathroom with attached toilet with Bidet closet. As someone had rightly mentioned in the review, the bathroom looks like a plastic box :). Bed was quite comfortable. Room had a mini fridge, flat TV (but with few Japanese channels only), small cupboard for clothes, another mini cupboard with a small draw, a decent table to work and a tea-table/chair. Everything was pretty neat and the house keeping does a very good job in achieving this. Regarding breakfast, they serve bread (and there are couple of toasters available), salad, Yoghurt, 2 varieties of buns, a Japanese style dish made out of rice, milk and orange juice. Tea/Coffee/Consomme soup machine is available in the breakfast room located adjacent to the front-desk 24 hours. Coming to other facilities, there are couple of rooms one for gents and another for ladies with 2 massage chairs each, a microwave oven in 6th floor, 3 vending machine (this again I spotted in 6th floor and not too sure whether they're available in other floors as well), nightwear dress, Trouser folding machine, paid clothes Washing/Drying machines, good Wi-fi and few basic toiletries to grab from front-desk. Overall, if you're on business, not looking at much space to walk in your room, interested in having a lively surrounding outside the building and of course a comfortable bed to sleep, then this could be a good option.

Rooms are small and modest, but very clean. BUT UNACCEPTABLE breakfast. (Artificial fruit juice, jam or honey witrh butter plastic mixture is terrible). No pastries, cold hard eggs only. Just for this reason: "stay away" For me, certainly he last experience here.

This hotel is very close to the train station, so you will hear trains and platform announcements if your room faces that direction. It is a bit difficult to find if you happen to come across it by the side entrance as we did. You have to go up in a lift to (i think) the 5th floor to find the reception which is through an unsignposted random door! The staff are professional but not overly friendly. The rooms are fairly small and come equipped with TV, kettle, hairdryer, internet connection, empty fridge and, interestingly enough, an emergency torch attached to the bedside table. There were 2 hangers in the wardrobe so most of my clothes had to stay in the case. The bathroom is like a little plastic box inside the room. Inside is a toilet, sink and small bath / shower with not very attractive soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser (i suppose its better for the environment though). You almost don't have to move to use each of the different bathroom facilities! Breakfast is in the cafe downstairs on the street. It is a bit like a japanese starbucks and there is limited choice (ham & egg hot sandwich, cafe latte and potato salad is one example) but is OK and only about £3.00 with a ticket from the hotel. If you only want to use the hotel for a place to sleep, it is OK. The Loisir Hotel down the street looked better!
