We stayed for 2 nights en route to Tokyo from Kyoto. Beautiful hotel with amazing rooms and world-class service. We are mostly vegetarian and they catered to our needs fully. Good location to get to Mt Fuji without too much hassle. 5 star hotels around the world can learn a lot from here in terms of service and bespoke service

Stayed one night in this traditional Ryokan on the hills of Misty Hakone. Awesome experience. The traditional Japanese hospitality and the attention to details is a stand out character. Very calm and peaceful surroundings topped by well appointed spacious rooms with its own hot baths fed from Onsen - natural hot spring. The traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast was tasty,...

To get the "ultimate" relaxation, consider Hakone Suishoen. They make very good effort to cater to your needs from check in to check out. We start off with a warm welcome of the valet, and then the smiling invite to sit down while they processed our reservation/check in. We *barely* saw the desk where they work. Indeed it was not...

Stayed in this hotel for one night and we were very impressed with the mix japanese/western concept. Huge king size beds, immaculately clean, with a hot spring bath on the balcony! everything else was provided, from sleepers to pajamas and yucata for dinner. Lovely to find a nespresso machine in the room. we had a wonderful japanese dinner, had one...

The "stylish room" is very tastefully done and exceptionally well equipped (complimentary drinks; nespresso machine, hair dryer, curlers, straighteners, your own kimono etc etc) lovely private balcony with own onsen. The staff are wonderful. Our butler was Miu and she...

What a peaceful place! Relaxing hot springs piped into your own room! Beautiful rooms, excellent amenities in the room, W-Fi, internet access. Superb restaurant with local ingedients. Not much English is spoken, for they cater to a Japanese clientel. One of the most splendid places that we stayed in a long time.

My wife and I got engaged here so I could be somewhat biased but I think it's a great place to stay. It's not a traditional ryokan but I like the modern rooms and the fact that you eat in a separate building. The issue I have with traditional ryokans is where to sleep in the afternoon before the futons...

I have been to Hakone many times in the past. This is one of the best Ryokan to stay in Hakone area. Service was impeccable. We called ahead and they had a car waiting for us at train station just to take our luggage so we can go take the cable car to see mt. fuji. By the time we...
