I stayed one night in this resort-style ryokan and I cannot find any faults. I had a great time here and all the services were top quality. The hotel is not the most traditional ryokan, though, so travellers looking for the full ryokan experience may want to look elsewher. It is japanese enough, thoug, and I was happy with it....

Neat and tidy hotel but a little bit dated. Lovely tepenyaki although all dining options were expensive - there weren't really any convenient external eating places. They catered well for English speakers. Beds were hard but clean. Good location to the cablecar.

The on-site onsen was the best part of this hotel. It was very clean and well-run and has indoor and outdoor hot pools. The western style beds were very comfortable and the hotel was a nice place to spend time with very friendly and helpful hotel staff. The close proximity to the cable car is also great. The food is...

Be aware that the hotel will not allow you to use the hotpool if you have a tattoo. In their words it may 'scare' other users. This was really disappointing after climbing Mount Fuji and needing to relax. When there the cable car was not operational which made getting around a little difficult.

Note that the name seems to actually be Resorpia (not resort pia)... Anyway, this is a great Japanese style hotel. It's location is basically 10 steps off the platform of the funicular train which makes it convenient. Once off the train, however, either pray for a shuttle or hike up the steepest driveway known to hotelkind. We stayed in the...

The rooms has both western beds and tatami. Yukata is available in the room to be used during the stay. The hotel have very relaxing onsens. The breakfast is good but a japanese dinner was offered to my group and service was a little mess. Wi Fi is only available in the lobby.

Other than the steep climb up the hill to reach the hotel everything was good about this hotel. Great onsen, big room and comfortable beds sum up our thumbs up for this hotel. Hotel facilities are complete and the hotel provided some Japanese titbits and green tea for the guests and that is something we look forward to as we...

Everything in the region is either an expensive hotel or a guesthouse. We did not want to share a bath, so chose hotel. It is pricey, we paid approx. $200/night, but really worked out well. Beware that this hotel is 3 stops up the steep hill on the funicular. Plan accordingly, as the funicular stops running at 7pm. The hotel...

Situated about 30 mins drive/train from the main train station in Hakone-Yumoto; we took a taxi (4000 yen) but if not carrying lots of luggage the train to Gora is recommended and then the hotel can be accessed 2 stops on a short cable car up the mountain from Gora. First impressions of the hotel were not strong as we...

Good japanese hotel more popular for japanese people rather than european. It is splitted into two different buildings, one dedicated to rooms and one to facilities, included a nice spa japanese style and game corner. Nice stay for visiting Hakone and surroundings
