Wonderful service and accommodations. 9 private rooms in this 3 story building. Stayed in the Moegi room on the third floor and it had a dining area on tatami mats and a double bed area and a private wooden onsen on the back deck with outdoor shower. The room faces the tree lined mountains and has a peek-a-boo cutout to...

This was an aiming experience! At first we were a bit concerned regarding the price, but after spending just one night here we would definitely recommend it! Firstly the staff was amazing, we had Tommy who had an energetic and helpful spirit. The food was delicious, a 9 course keiseki dinner was served (probably one of the best food experiences...

This was our first Ryokan experience and it absolutely exceeded our expectation. The outdoor private onsen overlooking the mountain was just the perfect way to relax! The room was very clean and traditional, just what you would expect from a Ryokan. The breakfast and dinners were served kaiseki style by our wonderful wait staff Kiku. Although Kiku didn't speak too...

To make our first visit to Japan special, my niece and nephew (who live in Asia) reserved an overnight stay for the 4 of us at Seikansou. From the moment we entered the front door of the Zen-like environment of this ryokan, we knew this was going to be an extraordinary experience. Our room was lovely, with high quality bath...

The Seikansou offers what is a perfect quintessential Japanese onsen experience – all in a premium and private setting. The rooms are traditional in style, but comfortable and modern in function. Dinner and breakfast (kaiseki style) is extensive and of high quality, served by kimono clad staff observing traditional formalities of presentation. The onsen themselves, both the wooden private outdoor...

We wanted to stay at a ryokan and experience a private onsen and this place was perfect for us. My friend had recommended us this place and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to other friends! My friend had stayed in one of the rooms that didn't have an attached private onsen but she loved her time there. We decided...

I have never stayed in a place that was more beautiful and clean. The individual onsen rooms were exactly what me and my mom wanted as we weren't ok with public nudity. The staff was so friendly and so accomodating even though we spoke almost no japanese. The FOOD WAS FANTASTIC!!! They asked about allergies and likes/dislikes, but we tried...

We were looking for a special onsen experience for a family trip (2 adult couples, and one 3-year-old), and boy oh boy was this special! I would highly recommend this onsen if you are looking for an exquisite culinary experience, and an aesthetic experience I would describe as Japanese contemporary. Very stylish. It is pricey compared to other onsen in...
