We stayed in Fuji Hakone guesthouse for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon trip in Japan. The place was amazing, the Onsen (hot spring) bath - both, indoors and outdoors were very clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and helped us a lot (including the purchase of "Hakone free Pass" at the register) and very good explanation...

We had a wonderful stay at Fuji Hakone Guest house for a night. The location is great, offering easy access to all the must see places! The Ryokan's staff was very welcoming and helpful, thanks to their 30 years experience, for the planning of our day trips. The room was very comfortable and relaxing, and we even got the chance...

We were not considered by guests but like a wallet. The only concern of the unpleasant woman who dealt with us was to getour credit card once we arrived and making us pay the taxes. She treated us like dumbs when we tried to understand these taxes. She always says NO to every request who may have. Hopefully there is...

We stayed at the Fuji Hakone Guesthouse in November 2016 as part of a guided tour with Inside Japan Tours. We were only there for one night so I did not get to use some of the facilities including their outdoor onsen. However, the proprietor was very kind and greeted our group with a short orientation talk to go through...

This is a two star guesthouse so don't come here and expect luxury but do expect a wonderful experience and a great night sleep. I stayed one night and we were welcomed by the English speaking staff. As we arrived late they have reserved some spots in the inside and outside onsens for anyone who wanted. I would definitely recommend...

We really enjoyed this guesthouse. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hosts were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The house is on the bus route which makes getting around easy. Unfortunately we had very wet weather which had a negative impact for us. The outdoor onsen was very clean and a refreshing experience. There was a...

The polar opposite of the large characterless western-style hotels. Friendly, welcoming personal service from truly hospitable hosts. I slept better on the futon than any other place on my tour. Being able to book the onsen made all the difference to us novices.

Loved my stay, staff are lovely and full of information about the area. Traditional room was specious and had a nice view of the trees around the property so felt very secluded. Walked approximately 30 minutes with great scenery for dinner and was able to get complimentary transport back to the hotel when it turned dark. Able to book indoor...

Perfect location as a base for exploring Hakone region. We had a wonderful stay at this family run guesthouse. On our first night we were lucky enough to have arrived on the day of a special community event! The owners drove us to the bonfire event where we were so welcomed and we tried all of the local foods and...
